  ok, help me out people, what would you do if you knew that someone from your home had stolen money from you?

  today i was going to go to the bank till i realized that i was missing 240.00, i know this money was in my purse because i put it there on wed night, i know i did not lose it because i have not touched my wallet in as long.

  i also have not been out anywhere so i could not have misplaced the money.

  i was just pondering how the wts has, for over a century, been able to convince people to do what is contrary to their best interests with fear tactics that armageddon is coming soon, and i came up with what is going to be my pet phrase for a while:.

  "only religion has the power to compel people to embrace sheer stupidity in the name of faith.

  " ~ scully, december 28, 2006. i googled it, and didn't see that anyone else has claimed it, so until someone else finds an attribution for it, i'm claiming it as my own.

  What is up with "YOU"?

  i've always been curious, why does the new world translation always render the word you in capital letters?

  is is a subliminal effort to make a strong connection with the reader as though the writer of the scripture meant "you, the individual reading this"?

  in other words, is it an effort to force the scriptures to make a stronger impact?

  I finally did it!!

  i volunteered and gave blood for the first time this past tuesday.

  my heart condition has improved to the point that my doctor okayed my donating blood.

  i am kind of a wuss when it comes to shots and needles; but being in a hospital in intensive care gets you over that.

  so, i have a good job, but i hate my boss.

  it's gotten to the point (beyond the point) that i just need to get outta here.

  it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

  I sell potties

  Well, that's the short, funny version. The less fun souinding version is that I am employed as a commercial inside sales and quotations person for a plumbing wholesale company. Basically I supply the plumbing equipment (and potties) for the high rise buildings in Portland. Not really exciting, but I'm good at it and enjoy it well enuf. The pay is decent (but not astounding) and the benefits are good.
