Am I correct in understanding that this is merely a guideline drawn up by the collaborated effort of 5 Japanese medical societies? Their medical recommendation can still be challenged in the Japanese justice system. But at least this gives a voice to young JWs whose parents are unfit to make the best medical choices for them.
And the WTS will have to fork out some cash to fight those cases. Let her bleed baby, let the B*tchTower bleed to death!

i need to draw on your collective jw knowledge here; i have two questions:.

1. if satan is supposed to be the ruler of this world and jesus' arrived invisibly in 1914 to rule the world, surely only one is true.. 2. the "knocking" documentary put the dubs on television, does that make them "teledubbies" ?.

Jesus is enthroned King, but He is Lord of "God's house" (aka spiritual Israel and their 6million strong tag-alongs), not the world. Not yet. Not until after the Big Showdown.
Satan is ruler of the "world", "sea of mankind", the rebellious sons of man, does not include flora and fauna. Not until you bring up the embarrassing anecdotes of intelligent primates, promiscuous beasts and homosexual sex acts in the animal kingdom. THEN, a Witness may sheepishly mutter that Satan rules the jungle too.

Yes, I did feel rather depressed after reading her story. But I guess she has succeeded in reclaiming her life, having left the abusive environment and abandoned the religion that failed her spiritually.
Hellrider, I don't know if their HQ is based in Melbourne. But Quadrant should be available in all Australian capital cities.
It isn't likely that your JW relatives would buy a magazine like Quadrant. I mean they are constantly blessed with such illuminating socio-political review journals, the Watchtower and the Awake!, how could they possibly find time to read "worldly" magazines?
Personally I don't fancy reading Quadrant much either. It's too conservative for my tastes sometimes.
