Man is Jehovah going to be mad when you put that tree up. My how he hates trees! And when you celebrate his son's birthday he will be really pissed. Man is he going to be pissed. And as you exchange your gifts he is just going to lose it! He may strike you dead right on the spot. He is always angry around that time of year because there are so many evil bastards celebrating Christmas. He wishes he could just wipe out anyone celebrating, and someday he will. Man is he mad!

What exactly can I get disfellowshipped for?
by Younglove1999 inmy husband and i have been inactive for almost 8 months.
we haven't gone to a meeting and slowly our jw friends have stopped associating with us because we're "weak".
at some point, we'll be celebrating holidays.

"I am leaving"
by DazedAndConfused inbigdreaux's thread caused me to think back on similar threads where the poster's have been blasted for their exit threads.
most try to reason with the poster with positive responses and try to get them to stay with us, but a few have posted negative thoughts to being downright nasty.. i have noticed various post's stating "you'll be back" (in sarcasm) to those who outright state that we are better off without you (the poster who says goodbye.).
there have been good people here, bigdreaux included, who are ostracised for their post to say goodbye.

If someone actually leaves this board because they were criticized or made fun of then... Good riddance. Time to grow up people. Expressing ourselves freely I believe is one of the more obvious values of this board. Although we don't want to be unnecessarily harsh, but, come on. I get criticized all the time for my posts. Sometimes I'm glad someone is calling me on my shit. Sometimes I call other people on their shit. I am thankful to be put in my place sometimes. The world is a harsh place at times. I have seen a lot of love on this site as well. So, take the good with the bad.

Blood issue, Job as fictional poetry and NOT actual infallible truth, my sister getting dfd, coming back from Bethel and finding my whole world gone and nobody really caring about my future, I had to make my own.

The Rest of My Story-The Fading Years
by okiesooner1966 ini would like to start by saying the years following high school were probably even more stressful than before.
the very day i graduating i moved out of my parents house, it took all of three weeks to get my next commitee meeting.
i did a horrible thing by going on a graduation trip with some of my classmates, even though all did was party like it any other kid my age, which thier parents paid for thier trp it was enough for me to be disassociated, though i was not baptized at the time it was the same as being disfellowshipped.

Validation of JCanon's claims!
by Paralipomenon ini understand that many have been scoffing at jcanon's latest posts and mathematical calculations, but i thought i would dig a bit deeper, to see if there was any underlying truth to his claims.
first take a look at his handle here: .

According to Isa. 7:14, originally attributed to be a prophesy about Jesus (because , you know it says that the child would be called Immanuel, and if you change the I to a J, then the first m to an e, then the second m to an s, then the a to a u and then the n to another s, then you dlete the rest of the letters, you have a true prophesy about Jesus!) Well, what if we were wrong about that. I have proof that Immanuel really stands for JCanon: Instead of changing the letters to Jesus, just chnge the letters to JCanon, so that Immanuel = JCanon. Then just dispose of the extra letters like before. I know, this is extremely convincing, so take it in slowly, then hand your life over to JCanon, starting with your bank account.

WHAT do YOU know about JESUS... and His teachings?
by hibiscusfire ini am interested to know what you know about jesus and what you really think of his teachings.. the bible says there is only one way to heaven.. jesus said: "i am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me.
" (john 14:6) .
the lord jesus was crucified and shed his precious blood to wipe away our sins (revelation 1:5).

Nobody really knows anything about Christ unless they have personally spoken to him. But that is impossible since he is a myth, formerly known as Prometheus in the Greek myth preceding the Jewish myth by nearly 1000years. Then there was Krishna and many others from thousands of years before. They all have the same things in common. Born of a virgin, son of god, died and resurrected, crucified, performed miracles etc. There is no reliable secular information on Jesus, and as for his teachings, they are horrible and cult like: leave your parents for me, I came to bring not peace but the sword, killing a fig tree out of anger, eternal hellfire even after you die (no escape like a cult). Jesus is just another sick cult, just another form of crazy.

I do want to comment on WTWizard's comment. Children of 14 or 15 are not developmentally ready to make an adult judgement on who to fall in love with. So, it is up to the adult in the situation to be the adult! As a teacher, I have kids get crushes on me all the time. There is an alarm that goes off each time this happens and I have to make it clear to them, that I am not their friend, I am their teacher. I pay particular attention to these kids and make sure they know the boundaries of our relationship. Especially these days when so many men are poor fathers, when a kid meets me and I am attentive and respectful towards them, this impresses them greatly and I begin to fulfill a childs natural need to have a male role model. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it puts extra responsibility on me as an educator to constantly remind them of the boundaries.

Amen to this post. I am a teacher, and a single male, so I must be vigilant when it comes to being alone with a kid or showing any kind of affection whatsoever to them. I too, when I'm not at school do not even make eye contact with kids, and I definitely wouldn't hold hands with a kid, even if it was to bring them to thier parents if they strayed.
however, I'm glad that the pendulum is swinging the other way now because look how many eons have we ignored abused children. Also, just when I think that this attck on males is unjustified, some asshole male teacher molests some kid setting us back several flights of stairs. I think of Chris Rock's famous ladder theory for African Americans. Just as soon as we make progress up the ladder, there is always some idiot creep that comes along and reinforces stereotypes. We need to stay vigilant against predators of all types. It's a sad price to pay, but when child molesting is a thing of the past, then we can all have normal relationships with children. Until then, this sick world will cause us all to have to walk on egg shells around kids. -
