why celebrate christmass?
by Cordelia inok so its nearly christmass and i'm thinking of celebrating it for the first time, but i feel alittle wrong in doing so, i know all the witness reasoning of why its wrong and just wondered what your reasons are as to why its right!.
i have a 3 year old little girl and would love to make it nice for her (tho my family would go mad!
) im thinking of getting a baby tree (one that can easily be hidden!

I have been to many midnight masses in my time raised a RC.Church was not an option we Had to go,no exscuses.I am from a large family yet for all of us Church was important.At Christmas it was all about Jesus birth,then pressies.
I heard a story the other day about a charity shop .In the window was a Nativity scene but there was no baby in the manger...........The reason? Let's put Christ back into Christmas.

that basis is the belief that the fds gives, from jehovah god, all the "spiritual food at the proper time".
if the "slave" gets all it's light" from jehovah god and jesus christ, the head of the congregation, why are their continued "refinements"?

i was also just reading on shaun's site the time magazine article (http://www.jwfiles.com/franz-article.htm) on ray franz's shunning.
i didn't realize that he and many other dissenters believe that all who belive in christ will go to heaven.

I believe in the New Heavens and New earth just like Peter taught.
God cannot lie,
Peter wrote 9.But you are a chosen people, aroyal priesthood,a holy nation,a apeople belonging to God,that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.10.Once you were not a people,but now you are the people of God;once you had not received mercy,but now you have received mercy.
We do not have to wait to get to heaven to enjoy that promised privalege.We are now a royal priesthood,as the redeemed people of God.
Revelation 5&6 Zechariah 6.
Christ conquers the hearts of His people by His Gospel so that we become a royal priesthood and share His triumph.He conquers satan and all those who reject the Gospel by His judgments.He conquers death,first His own ressurection,and then the ressurection of all,for life or condemnation.He conquers all the troubles of this sinful world by establishing a New Heaven and New earth,the home of righgteousness.
Death is nothing to fear Christ has conquered IN CHRIST WE ARE SAFE .for all eternity.

I am feeling for all of you ((((((((hugs))))))))) makes me realise how fortunate I am in having family,they all left the JWS,and all live 5 mins away from me. I have Christmas now but it took me a while and I still try to keep it simple.
Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,and shall call His name Immanuel'
