Not a chance. I had one imaginary friend until the time I was about 3 years old and then 2 others until I was in my 20s. With the later gone, I see no reason to go back to that publishing company.
Sorry, guess I'm having a bitter day.

i'm currently becoming involved in educating christians in my church about the beliefs of the jws and how to effectively witness to them.. i would especially like to have copies of what does god require?, knowledge that leads to everlasting life, can blood save your life?, and should you believe in the trinity?
if you have any extras of these that you would like to pass on to help christians learn how to ask thought provoking questions of their jw friends and family, that is what i would be using them for.. i would like to obtain them from regular posters, so that i can make sure my personal information does not get into the "wrong" hands.
thanks for any help you can give.
I just gathered up 2 boxes of books the other day and couldnt decide what to do with them. I check to see what I have and let you know.
well, i have once again put finger to keyboard and produced another article.
i have to say that i have never had as much fun with a subject as with this one.
you can really see the goofyness of religion under the demon microscope.
It’s just so damn refreshing to be an atheist.
Already quoted, but worth quoting again. Thanks for another fine edition in your series.
when jw's are confronted with the fact their organisation has made several false predictions concerning the time of the end, they have various excuses they use to wiggle their way out.. i thought it would be interesting for them to see how their organisation meets the qualifications as a false prophet way back back in 1922 ...3 years after they said they were chosen as gods channel after a 1919 inspection of them by jesus himself when he cleansed the temple.
they claimed they were free from babylonish bondage and adorned as a bride for her husbandly owner...jesus.
did abraham, isaac and jacob return to earth in 1925 as predicted by the watchtower?
Its mostly topical and relevant things they discuss...not dusty and out of date.Just a thought.
Just another thought would be that absolute truth is never dusty or out of date. To proclaim that you are Gods inspire org is pretty silly when a brief look at your history shows that you are no more accurate than any other religion.
The problem is that the JWs never ever admit to being wrong. It like trying to get Fonzie to say it. An they have been wrong many, many times. (JWs not Fonzie)
There is a whole convuluted logic around the whole things that goes.
Its right to be wrong when we're wrong, because God says we're right so you're not wrong. And its wrong to be right when we're wrong because God says that our wrong is right, until later when its wrong. Someday if we decide that your right wrong is now right, youre still an apostate so neener, neener.
do the other witnesses with whom you associate/once associated in general know that you are an apostate or have apostate inclinations?
the reason for the phrase "in general" is that it may be the case that one or two close friends know how you feel, but others in general do not.
in my own case, one other witness knows, but no one else, so i would answer the survey question with a "no".
To the majority Im still "No" Im sure. I have let a few people in, but dont go around proclaiming it.
I quit attending meetings months ago though, so its not as if I'm secretly trying to be subversive while remaining a part of the cult.
it is a sin to throw away your watchtowers and awakes.
you must let them build up and up and up, until you need to store them in boxes that will be places in corners of the attic or basement.
when you find them years later, still do not throw them away or you will die at armageddon!
I have several hundred issues that I have been trying to figure out what to do with. Some are serving a useful purpose as a backstop for my airgun. I'd like to take the rest and have a nice fire, but the only time I get a chance to do that is camping and my next trip is with my remaining JW friends... I dont think that would go over well.
further to the thread that minimus stated about 'still believing'....what i want to know is do any of you stil believe in jehovah?
that is, the named god of the bible that sanctioned the genocide of millions of unbelievers.
as the israelites came into the 'promised land' god told them to devote to destruction 7 populous nations and not let a breathing thing live, or in other words commit genocide!!!
Not in the least, I dont need imaginary friends anymore. Then again, Im not sure that I ever did. I just had plenty of people around to tell me that I did.
so far, i've been left alone.
no one's bugging me.
i hear the c.o.
I still get a regular visit on Saturday mornings. I try to avoid being home around that time, but last week I got stuck. I was in shaving when I heard a knock on the door, but didnt bother going to see about it.
My folks said something to me last week that makes me think some well meaning elder called them, but aside from that there has been no problems.
There are a few things going on in the next 1-3 weeks that might test that though.

.
how about the "godly oatmeal" convention.
....or how about the "divine chocolate cake" assembly?
Here is a little tool that someone posted right after I started coming here.

top ten signs you're a fundamentalist christian
10 - you vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.. .
9 - you feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the biblical claim that we were created from dirt.. .
