well?

even if my religion is wrong (and i know it is not), it has saved me from a life of drugs and hopelessness, i was going no-where, i had no life, i lived with depression, i had no goals, just drifted through life and hated life and myself, since finding jesus my life has changed and i am a good, honest, caring person, i am now the best father i have ever been, i was never there for my kids before.

i have a great job and provide for my family, how can you say to me, that religion is wrong ?.

this is a person i met and had a discussion with, he is not a jw, but i wonder is a religious belief even if it is wrong, better for someone who cannot face the world.

this is a person I met and had a discussion with, he is NOT a JW, but I wonder is a religious belief even if it is wrong, better for someone who cannot face the world. The world is a cold and cruel place, billions have a religious belief.

Is it not better to know the truth about a religion then to go on blindly believing it, like so many JW's do.

Every religion has experiences of people that were on skid row (even death row) and found Jesus and it turned their life around, heck I remember some in my congregation that became JW's and it turned their life around ...

But, Is it better to believe a lie and have a good and safe life for you and your children, or better to know the truth, or keep searching for the truth ???

Annoited ones not needed on Earth when Armageddon comes ???

appears all the annoited class (pre 1935) are pretty much gone, or not coherent.. with the 24 elder idea in the january 2007 wathctower, will the annoited class not be needed during armageddon, or will all 144,000 be with jesus when armageddon comes, hey thats a good idea watchtower, i should be on the governing body..

i'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but here are the figures for the 2006 service report.

i highlighted the countries that have either a "0" or negative growth in yellow and i highlighted key countries where the you would expect more growth......i tried looking for england's stats, but i couldn't see it.

i looked under "england" and "united kingdom" but i can't see it.

I like how they say they spent a whopping $111 million dollars, while taking in 1 billion.

Memorial partakers is a joke, how come the number never changes ??? what was the number last year ?

Over a billion hours in service, for a suppose 250,000 increase, hhhhhmmmmmmmm

1914 ,the Generation that got tossed in the Garbage Can

One of the best incites to how they preached this infatically (is that a word ?) Is to read the Watchtower articles that were in a four part series ... April 1, 15, May 1, 15, 1984. They have some awesome quotes that cannot be changed. Could someone post those articles ??????????

The October 1993 Kingdom Ministry on the last page has a great quote to the generation and the purpose of the Awake as well.

Generation change?

hello all.. forgive my ignorance, but what exactly was the generation change, and what are the implications for jw doctrine?.

although i rarely missed a meeting until a couple of years ago, this either went over my head or i wasn't listening (most likley).. i'm not the sharpest tool in the box so please keep it simple!

Another Christ's Invisible Presence Question ? (1930 -1942)

okay, we all know christ's invisible presence began in 1874, then changed to 1914 (in 1943).

now, the last mention of christ's invisible presence being 1874, seems to be 1929/1930 , prophecy book, our lord's return booklet.. my question is .......... is christ's invisible presence mentioned in any publication from 1930 - 1942, or did it completely drop out of sight during this time frame ???????

until it was re-introduced in the truth shall set you free book in 1943.. .

yeah whatever, basically in 1943 in was Freddie Franz's job to fix all the chronology. And really who would notice.
