I FOUND A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, the search is finally over, i found a job.

i am working for a promotional advertising company, and they are hired by other companies like--crayola, harley davidson, bed bath and beyond, disney, etc to promote new products that will be coming out.

so, someone at my level in the company, goes to area businesses and shows them to people and they can buy them at about 80% off what the product will retail for when it hits the stores.

Do you think JW men treat women worst than 'other' men in power?

i ask this question because we often hear about jw men (bros., elders, servants, co's etc.

) treating sisters as lower and weaker beings than themselves.. but i wonder if it's not just a male-dominant world problem.

i didn't grow up as a jw so every male i met for 30 years was not a jw.

I am glad to know that you feel I have never been in that situation before. Maybe if you knew me you would know that I was in a controlling relationship for 1 1/2 years and I told the guy to get out of my life and I wanted nothing to do with him. Yes it was a bad situation and I know by experience you can get out of it. So this was not a naive comment from someone that hasn't walked a mile in someones shoes for your information.

Elders coming...i'm shaking in my boots...NOT! Any help?

i had a phone call last night from one of the elders asking if they can come around.

when i asked him why he said it was to discuss whether i would be interested in having a study.. this is strange as i have been baptised since i was 14 and left about 4 years ago and have had little contact with any witnesses except my parents, but, the only thing that has changed over the last few weeks is that i put together a 50 page report documenting a range of subjects including the un involvment etc and give it to my mum.

then within a week the elders want to ask my to have a study!.

The only time the elders visited me and my wife, it was a couple of months after we stopped going. They knocked on the door when I was sitting on my living room couch, I could see through the side of the blinds that it was them, I just didn't answer the door. I think they called a couple of times but I have caller ID and I screen calls that are blocked so they never got ahold of me or my wife and they just stopped bothering us. As far as I know we aren't disfellowshipped or Dissasociated, nobody has told us anything. We've moved around so much that the only way they could find us now is if my wife's family gave them our address. If she does I just plan on ignoring them.

how do you feel re homosexuality?

Well I told you where I draw that line, heck some would be so extreme as to only allow heterosexuals to have sex even in a marrage arrangement if it is for the purpose of procreation! So where does that slippery slope begin?

The fact of the matter is we don't know and we can't dictate our morality to others, I am happy that society has drawn the line where they do as a general moral consensus, but if that were to change, as it could possibly in the future (look at groups like NAMBLA) I would be worried. But as of now I don't see much of a push in that direction.

how do you feel re homosexuality?

Sure, there has to be a moral line in the sand drawn at some point, thats why my personal belief is that its all right for consenting adults. That is where my line in the sand is drawn and I believe society should feel that way too. I know a majority of society DOES feel that way (in that sex with a minor of any gender is wrong, or sex with animals, sex with dead people, etc).

But then to actually say science has proven anything would be a tremendous fallacy. There is a lot of data and a lot of studies that suggest certain things, but there is nothing conclusive. Furthermore even though I believe that it may be something genetic, I know there is no proof for this, only my observations of homosexuals that I know.

My personal opinion is that we have nothing more to fear from homosexuals than we do with heterosexuals, and the things we fear from each of them have little to do with a sex act.
