Recent Changes In Me...
by FMZ ini seem to have been asked a lot lately why i have changed so much since the dallas apostafest.
i agree i have been through some changes lately, quite major ones even.. i am still not completely sure when exactly i changed, whether it was in texas, before the fest, or after the fest, but i am certainly glad my changes show to all you beautiful people.
i guess changing the very foundation of my life itself does have an impact on the exterior .

Actually, the bank in the documentary "bowling for columbine" was really giving away vouchers for guns which had to be procured through a regular run of the mill gun store. Moore made it seem like you got the gun on the spot. This is a falsehood.
Say what you want about receiving a gun for opening a new account, that is certainly up for debate, but they weren't just handing out guns.

The Craptacular Pain Of Jealousy
by Obviously Secret inheh, i try and i try and i try, but, i just can't get over my jealousy problem.
when i read stories, even on this website, about people finding love and having great experiences in life i just can't help but get terribly jealous over it and start to think about it for hours.
you guys got any tips on how i can stop being so jealous?

Relationships are overrated
Seriously though, I think you have recieved a lot of good advice here. And I know that simply saying "Stop being so jealous!" is not going to help matters either. It just seems that you put too much of your mental imagery and thought into wanting a relationship that it overwhelms the rest of your life. Dwelling on not having one is making you miss out on so many more important things. And might I add that your over the top desire for a relationship probably hinders your ability to be able to have one, and from what it seems from talking to you, I don't think you are READY for one.
You need to concentrate on the more important things in your life right now, put relationships on the back burner and give the therapy a chance to help you. Give yourself a chance too. Believe that you can find a better place and don't give up on yourself, because if you don't believe in yourself then what good is wanting change?
The JW's have the concept of "faith" wrong. And I don't care what the bible says, even though you may see in yourself no hope and no reason to believe, you have to have faith anyway and act as if your life change, no matter how much you don't believe it, just do it. Put forth the effort to make change no matter how worthless you think that effort is.

Smells like JW propaganda.
Yeah, like the "management" is going to go around and do this. I have heard many a tale like this before.
Although the letters read to the congregations undoubtedly had some effect on people leaving the conventions to get food, it is hard to believe that EVERYONE obeyed. Especially the abumndance of JW youth who don't even give a s*** about anything from the platform anyway. This may last for a time, but over the years people are going to trend towards being normal people. Which means doing the "normal" things people do, like go and procure food to eat when they are hungry. This is just another highly unbiblical policy of the WTS in order to further control its members.
