i work at a job where my primary mode of comunication is the telephone.
all day i'm receving messages, leaving messages, or speaking to people on the phone.
i've probably heard messages for about 70 answering machines in the almost three months i've been here.
Maybe you should live in a shack in the northwest where nobody talks to you and you don't have to talk to anybody.
Really thogh, these people aren't asking you for anything, you don't even have to believe in god, they are not forcing their religion upon you. They are just doing what they think is nice. Just live and let live man.

I don't know, this could turn into another "get naked" thread. I don't know, somehow....
for years i've been reading and talking to people who are out of the organization either by being df'ed or da'ed themselves from the so called "truth".. my main concern is that once the former jdubs are out, they start to reverse their thinking from everything the jdubs had learned that is considered a "no no", ranging from sex, satanism, getting into pornagraphy, drugs, alcohol, rock music, smoking, reading ouji boards and anything else they can get their hands into that was considered forbidden by the wt.
even some decided to reverse their thinking from believing "there is a god" to "there is no god".. while i can understand the anger and bitterness that has resulted from realizing how they have been deceived by the wt for many years.
i am concerned about the destructive behavior that ex-jdubs are getting themselves into.. sure it gives ex-jdubs a sense of total freedom and go wild on everything that was forbidden to them.
Yiz, you have to have more faith in people than that. Sure, some do things that are probably harmful to them, but usually they may face concequences for their behavior and they know that.
You are talking about a group of people who have been told what to do their whole life and who have been told to not think just do. This is an unhealthy way to live and by living this way people do not learn their natural limits. Often people have to learn all of the normal things about life like a child does because they were deprived of this process when they were younger.
Basically you have to let people define their own boundaries and their own path. Its the only way we learn how to really live our life.

There are those for whom the JW lifestyle is the more comfortable path. Seeing the "truth" and changing your life takes effort.
