  WT COUNSEL ON ABUSED ONES

  is it me or does the watchtower always give the counsel to tell the elders or someone in the congregation when one is being physically abused by her husband.

  would not the first thing to do is go to the police?

  or are we in fear of bringing "reproach on jehovah's name?

  my brother-in-law (who is not a jw) and myself started discussing michael moore's movie.

  Does this mean that the end is coming this year? Or the next 4 if Bush gets re-elected? What if nothing happens? I mean, the world is just in some state of science fiction-like chaos isn't it?

  Not really, no.

  So, do your parents think you'll make it through Armageddon or do they just not like to talk about it, like the 6 billion others that presumably won't make it? The white elephant the size of the moon. I swear if the Watchtower had guns we'd be fighting them instead of militant Islamists.

  Was watching either HBO or Showtime yesterday and saw the Jerry Lee Lewis biopic "Great Balls of Fire". I thought the British gave him kind of a raw deal.

  you missed the "theocratic bus"! they changed this conveniently in 1994-1995, just about the time is was REALLY starting to look rediculous. (as if their whole docrine didn't look rediculous anyway)
