When you were in school, did you dread knocking on a schoolmate?s door?
by Elsewhere ini did not know where most of my schoolmates lived, but i knew they were out there... somewhere.
i dreaded the thought of a door opening to a face i knew from school.
it was like walking through a minefield for me... every door was like another step... would my next step be my last???

The Time Travel Tale of John Titor -- Brilliant Internet Hoax?
by Country Girl inif any of you are bored and want to read a very fascinating tale of what i think is one of the more interesting internet hoaxes, there is the story of john titor.
the web site says:
"although there is debate over the exact date it started, on november 02, 2000, a person calling themselves timetravel_0, and later john titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.

The problem I have with his story is that if the US Capitol is moved to Omaha Nebraska, does this mean that Omaha wasn't a target in the "world war"? It should have been, it is the home of the US Strategic Air Command.

Went to the comic-con in San Diego today with my JW Brother in law. He is of course a big Kerry supporter (no part of this world, ha!). As we were walking to the convention center there were Kerry people trying to register people to vote. Now the girls they had out there with the clipboards were not really all that cute. I jokingly told my brother in law, who knows about my political opinions, if they were only a little hotter maybe I'd vote for John Kerry. He didn't seem to find it very funny though. Even though he likes to talk politics all the time, I guess actually talking about registering and voting leaves him a little sick to the stomach. I didn't hear about John Kerry the rest of the day, thank god.
Anyway, Corvin, your daughter ditched us! What gives man!?

Too bad they feed all those pesky starving humans with that food. If only all those humans would just ... go away or something the animals could just live in peace.

Americans are top !
by Simon in.
... at least when it comes to cycling .
lance armstrong and greg lemond have contributed 9 tour de france wins out of 120 starts by us riders which is about 1 in 12. french riders have won more, 36 tours in total, but with 4,730 starts or 1 in 131.. the irish have won a race or two (well, maybe just one).. still beats the brits though ... we have yet to win it !
