  There was a thread about getting your publisher card.
  

  Basically the Service Overseer has the publisher cards in his home. Just become very friendly with him/family to the point where you can stay overnight ... need I go further? Or hire Richie. He is for hire.

  OR. This is big. Tell him you want to improve your service and that you would like to review your publisher card. Play dumb and go home with it. And hopefully he will forget. Lets note make a big issue about "the publisher card". I was an elder. It's just a freakin card with your hours/name/dob/do baptism/address/telephone.

  Then again, it's this damm card that is reviewed everytime the C.O. comes along and he wants to find out why some publishers are not active, thus that is when they will want to see you.

  it just dawned on me that not one single person from the governing body of 1975 is on the governing body today.. here are a few other facts about the current gb:.

  geoffrey jackson was 20 years old in 1975, he was not at risk of being drafted for viet nam because he was too young at the time.. sam herd and guy pierce were 21 the year sputnik was launched.. gerrit losch was 20 at the dawn of flower power and the free love era in the united states.

  of course, his circumstances were very different in the country in which he was located.. david splane, stephen lett, and anthony morris were all of an age to be at risk for the viet nam draft.. a brief rundown of historical context for 7 of the 10 current gb members.

  I also wonder if there are other forces behind the GB that decide on policies, if the GB is just a front? It could be more than Jaracz that keep things on the same old tracks.

  You would think that someone as Jaracz in his position would be the one to imitate Christ's personality. Well, I don't think anyone would say that. What was Christ known for? What is Jaracz known for? Well that says it all.

  Christ was humble, meek, generous, kind, loving. Jaracz is...a business tycoon.

  It will costs you lots to cash out... Relatives, Friends ... they will repay you by shunning you. If you can handle that go ahead and check out of Hotel California. What will it costs you to stay in? A crisis of conscience in the form of meeting attendance, associating wth dubs, field service, etc. Just keep these at a minimal. Or do the fade... the perfect fade is to get your publisher card ... if not, your fade will probably never be complete. For now, i need to stay in for relatives and friends. But I keep everything at a minimal. Even though if you could have your baptism null and void (which will never happen) you will still be shunned by family and friends. sucks big time. oh well, keep your chin up, worst things have happened to others ... i think wac xElder xBethelite That is the price we have paid for taking the red pill.

  our good friend dan sydlik died today about 2 pm eastern time.

  he was the last of the moderating forces on the gb.

  lately he has had little influence among the ted (aka the boss) jaracz (head of the bethel cia - the service department) henchmen and loyalists.

  Since they read the bible which was written under holy spirit, and since they do everything according to the bible that everything they write is under holy spirit. they will never admit they would be directed DIRECTLY by holy spirit, much like the appointments for elders etc.

  Do you still refer to God as Jehovah?

  i am curious if anyone still calls their god jehovah.

  when i think of jehovah all i can think of is what they taught me.

  it was true at first i felt a much more personal and stronger relationship with god when giving him a name, however certain things they taught forced me to see him as a cold and unloving god.

  That is a great question. The name Jehovah is so tightly wovened around the JWism that it is hard to separate em.

  Personally - I would like to believe in Jehovah/Yahweh and Jesus but without ever to have known the JWs. I don't worry too much about that anymore. I did in the beginning though. I believe He will reveal all things in due time. No sense in racking my brains :-)
