So my brother who is in construction(home improvement) has no work. My "elder" dad says he and a few other "brothers" were working on the kingdumb hall. I said that's good at least they are making a little money. My dad says oh no it's volunteer. I say that is ridiculous they would have to pay someone anyway why not throw the guys something even $50 bucks. "Oh no that's not how JW's are it is strictly volunteer". I say my church has a fund that helps people who need it and it is just given. Then the conversations ends as usual.

Hello all. I haven't been on this site in quite sometime. I use to be on all the time. I am in Ct now but raised on Long Island NY. My Father (turning 90)
still an elder was the CO/PO? whatever growing up in Farmingdale. Of my three brothers one still remains a staunch JW(with wife). I've been out(escaped) since my mid 20's. Any major news over the past year or two?

Hey Purps,how are you Merry Christmas Happy New Year.. Just got done watching all the videos you and the others posted for favorite music. Loved it! Radiohead is my fav! Champ My son sang at Christmas Eve service at our church..he did an amazing rendition on guitar of Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuele..of course my video was not charged.

Of course my dad tells me "my conscience would bother me" so he's not coming! Jehovah's are such losers!!!! Mean time they have been going through all our family slides to make a cd for the party. Half the pictures are of ASSEMBLIES, my brother just kept throwing them in the garbage!!! Since leaving the "truth" late in life (45) most of my brothers friends throughout his life no longer speak to him.I left way before him so he is inviting my friends!! There all coming, that's what you call friends. My other JW brother won't come either. SAD...

See the movie "AUSTRALIA" with Kidman and Jackman!!
by Witness 007 inyes australia was bombed by the japanese in world war 2 in darwin....but this movie has so much more...this couple look fantastic together and the scenery gives you an idea of australias natural wonders.....will review film next week.
....must see!
