  Physically Abused by JW

  i have just read a post by think, saying he was physcially abused by jw many times, .

  i am sorry if this has ever happened.. is it true or was think just exaggerating since i have read many put down posts from think about jw.. is think trying to extract revenge to them?

  or just one bitter person who has been thru many terrible times with in the jw organisation?

  In my cong when I was a teenager there was a young boy aged around 3. He was being badly beaten, coming to the meetings covered in bruises. The elders were aware, they had spoken to the mother but didn't want to do more as to get child services involved would be tantamount to sentencing him to death!, at least if he was in the truth he had a hope for the future

  in the end he was taken by child services and fostered by "unbelievers", wonder where he is now. Hope his life was good.

  just wondered as im prob about to give up so much, coz i dont think it is the truth but its come as such a shock!.

  my family believe it so much, my dad feels he can answer any question i have, and being brought up in it sometimes it scares me.

  but just curious. are brits getting circumcised these days. When I came to Oz 24 years ago it was usually the norm, and I was surprised as in the UK at that time only the Jews were "done" .......the tide has turned now in Australia, although it is still done. I know It can also be an american custom too! So did it become more popular, or out of fashion?

  no, not to the jws, never again.

  it was always my ambition pre - jw to be an english teacher.

  i have a degree in english, but i thought it was too late, after so many years, to pursue my original career plans.

  for the record, yup I think gay marriages should be legalised, I've heard of so many "Life Partners", being shafted by their partners family, at their darkest hour. sounds a bit like the witnesses??

  Marriage, any marriage is a fine institution.......... but who wants to live in an institution...........boom boom. it's an oldie but a goodie. surprised I'm the first to say it in 4 pages!

  I was born in, my parents were both youngsters when their parents joined. I left when I was 21.

  You know for many years in the back of my mind I thought just maybe it is the truth,.............but........I just couldn't do it, and didn't want that crap for my three beautiful kids either.

  now after finding out about lies, conspiracy, and cover ups. not to mention the roots of the org being based on untruths, I can say that I KNOW it's not the truth, glad I haven't wasted my life to it like my parents have........and still are.........

  it's not easy for you I know that torn up feeling inside......

  but do you want that for your little girl too.....?
