  in part this thread is an apology to dansk.. by way of an explanation; about a year ago i posted to someone that they should show little compuncture about lying to a body of elders, since the wts would only apply theocratic warfare to them, and do the same.

  dansk (rightly in my opinion) reprimanded me about it, though i uncomfortably defended my position at the time.. well, i was raised better than that.

  "two wrongs don't make a right", and lying was never on the agenda in our household.

  Me too, I signed the form on my drivers licence. I've also donated blood in the past.

  as a nurse I've also given blood transfusions........(well, the doc hooks it up - the buck stops there...... but the nurses monitor the transfusion), I've seen people so much improved after their treatment.

  Pity my mum almost died for refusing hers. she would have been able to care for her children and new born baby so much better.

  since my mom decided she needed to put full shunning back into effect again (an unconscious new year's resolution to be a better jw?

  ), i've been ransacked by a whole bunch of emotions which have been gradually resolving into thoughts.

  the sense of being completely disposable, expendable, replaceable.

  the general feeling on this website is that all religions have gods people in them.so why does it matter to you all.that you believe you were lied too?you show me a religion that is with out fault?show me a religion that has the total truth from the bible?

  You say that JW's are closest to the truth. Well that's not good enough for me. If they are "gods chosen mediator.........then they have no room for error, and they've made plenty of them.

  also the WT says that if you read the bible alone, you will fall into darkness, but by reading the soc's literature you will stay in the light...........what arrogance. to teach that their ramblings are better than the supposed word of God!

  after 10 years in the "fultime work" my wife and i left bethel and moved back to missouri to serve where the "need was great".

  mark had was about 17 and had put his foot down about going to the kh but his dad still pushed.

  I hope mark was too drunk to know what was going on.

  Hindsight can be tormenting, but think of those people who do not have the insight to look back and see their faults. We can't change the past, but hopefully we can learn from it.

  Sometimes in a situation where the person that you wish to speak with is no longer here it can help to write them a letter. a letter apologising, explaining. In a way it's a letter to ourselves too, as it helps release our feelings, that's like what you've done now. shared your pain with others, hope it's lightening.

  Physically Abused by JW

  i have just read a post by think, saying he was physcially abused by jw many times, .

  i am sorry if this has ever happened.. is it true or was think just exaggerating since i have read many put down posts from think about jw.. is think trying to extract revenge to them?

  or just one bitter person who has been thru many terrible times with in the jw organisation?

  In my cong when I was a teenager there was a young boy aged around 3. He was being badly beaten, coming to the meetings covered in bruises. The elders were aware, they had spoken to the mother but didn't want to do more as to get child services involved would be tantamount to sentencing him to death!, at least if he was in the truth he had a hope for the future

  in the end he was taken by child services and fostered by "unbelievers", wonder where he is now. Hope his life was good.
