  i was at bethel from 94-96 the person i am looking for came about 95-96 he left to get married 8/96.

  i have heard he dis associated and hope he is on jwn.

  you know when you're in a dark room and someone suddenly flicks on the lights?

  its very unpleasant isnt it?

  that the same reason why jah reveals his light to us gradually over time.

  Skeletons of unusually tall people but not much different than your garden variety of twentieth century basketballer.

  I didn't go further with it but it looks like a Bible group 'proving' the existence of 'giants'.

  The references were regarding discoveries primarily from the 1800's. I suspect any modern discoveries don't elicit such awe.

  i know we all have said that we "loved jehovah god" while we were witnesses, but do you think you really loved god?.

  God, I'm going to write something about this one day.

  Meantime, 'loving your heavenly father with your whole heart'! I have a very clear view, now, of what constitutes fatherly behaviour and I see nothing in my reading of the Bible that even comes near to the tangible qualities required to love God.

  elder reveals his secretjanuary 28th, 2011. by shadow elder, jr.. a few weeks ago, my father and i were out working together in the door-to-door preaching work.

  that morning only four of us showed up at the kingdom hall my dad and i, and a married brother and sister.

  Sir82 - I dunno, sounds just a little too "perfect". Doesn't pass the sniff test.

  Funny, when I first read it my Witness Speak radar clicked in on the "Gee" in para. 7.! I think it's genuine though.

  Good story...so far. I hope it has a happy ending for the whole family.

  "..you are my son, and I trust you to keep this between us. If you don’t, you could destroy our family.” - I wish adults would think about how they phrase things to youngsters. This is a very heavy (and unfair) responsibility to give a young man. However, that may be what he 'heard' rather than what was actually 'said'.

  the title is the question.

  when i was actively studying with the witnesses back in the mid 70's i was often asked that question.

  i guess it was a reflection of the crowd i was hanging around with and the fact that i was a friendly at the time, but on reflection i haven't been asked the question for eons.

  Your title reminded of something the 'brothers' used to say back in the '80's. Something like; 'In Jesus day the truth was called the Way, nowadays it's the Truth and in the new system it will be known as the Life.'
