  Do elders and ministerial servants really put their family 1st?

  when i stopped going to meetings i immediately found myself spending more time with my kids.

  no sunday/monday evenings preparing talks.

  no fri/sat preparing the wt.

  As an MS, the org. always came first. Anything less would show weakness. My children suffered terribly with my exhaustion and bad moods. My wife couldn't understand why we weren't the happiest of people.

  Wonderful letter vinny! and well researched. You are a clear minded and respectful person. The org. thinks that only evil, ranting apostates would ever leave their clean organization. It must be a shock to find good people getting out.
  I am so sorry about your wife and your sons misery. What is happening with him and you now?

  Women's Role

  so as you can see this is my first post here...it's going to sound a bit jumbled i'm sure.. i stopped going to meetings exactly a year ago primarily due to my realization of my role as a "woman" (well i'm 22 but anyway..).

  to me, being a jw woman means a life as a subserviant housewife who can make no decisions and can only excel by pioneering.

  i realized that's the way the whole bible is...totally male-dominant.

  How did you hide things?

  for those of you who had some evil in you, how did you hide the things that you didn't want your parents or fellow jws to find?.

  i used to hide porn magazines under the carpet in my bedroom, and i had a gutted vcr that i used to hide my rap tapes (along with other things i can't remember).
