2006 SERVICE REPORT - Feb 1, 2007 WT
by Mary ini'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but here are the figures for the 2006 service report.
i highlighted the countries that have either a "0" or negative growth in yellow and i highlighted key countries where the you would expect more growth......i tried looking for england's stats, but i couldn't see it.
i looked under "england" and "united kingdom" but i can't see it.

What do you do in your free time?
by zagor injust want to get some ideas.
i haven't had much of a free time in last two years particularly last year or so, well till last week anyway.
recently, i've tried taking latin dancing lessons but managed to get only to first session (well i'll go again this week but have already skipped two) this morning i've visited local sport center and tomorrow night i'm restarting my old flame as it were :) martial arts.. why am i saying that?

I like to spend time with or without my camera and look at the details. Practice framing up pictures even if I don't make the shot.
I make time playing football (soccer). Saturdays and sundays in the winter and indoor and the artificial turf in the off season. I figure if I'm going to exercise for the sake of my mental health, it may as well be something I enjoy! -

DOES ANYONE STILL NOT CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS???
by chuckyy injust wondering if anyone still does not celebrate xmas since leaving jws.....or like me do you think"to hell with it", and join in the festivities.
if you do celebrate it, do you still have pangs of guilt for celebrating this "pagan" festival???.

Christmas meant nothing to me before becoming a JW and now I've left it means even less. I guess it's because I find anything connected to religion as repugnant.
However we have always celebrated our wedding anniversary on Dec. 3rd with the kids. It is the most important date for us. -

Combine this with the 'Least Corrupt Countries' being 1) Finland and 2) New Zealand, it looks like the top and bottom ends of the world are good places to live.
However, NZ has one of, if not the highest, rate of youth suicide in the world.
I used to work for a Danish company and they were pretty keen on their Heineken and Gammeldansk bless 'em. -

Isn't it strange when you have relatives that ignore you, they punish your little children with the same behaviour. It becomes clear that the dubs can easily justify the death of innocent children at Armageddon without any qualms.

This bit reminded me of a thread we've had on JWD over the last week;

It has been noted by others how all encompassing the dubs understanding of 'apostate' is.
It's become a buzz word to demonize anything that doesn't fit what they think the truth is. -

When you tell "worldly" people about life as a dub...
by wanderlustguy indo they get angry?
gets furious to the point i haven't even told her 10% of my past as a dub.. do you find it strangely amusing tha they get angry, and laugh or chuckle for some reason?
i do, and i think it's because i find it so ridiculous now and to see someone get flustered over it kind of reaffirms my feelings.. does it make your relationship difficult?

I only openly told people I had been a dub about a year ago. Without exception, they were little more than vaguely interested.
After 70 odd years of preaching, the 'world' cares less about 'Gods Representatives' than they ever did.
It's ME that gets angry with ME for being so thoroughly fooled.
