Returning To Vomit:
Learn to behave like the unclean dog you are by returning to the filth and lies you once discarded.
You will learn how to consider other points of view objectively, empathise with complete strangers and live a balanced lifestyle without recourse to the numbing effects of alcohol and the use of tranquilizing medicine! And your friends will still love you even if you make a mistake.

Who still fears the big 'A'?
by lfcviking ini have been left for about 18 months now and am trying to get 'unindoctrinated' or 'unbrainwashed' or whatever is the correct term is.
but there still exists in me a considerable fear of 'armaggeddon'.
whether the jw teaching of 'armaggeddon' is true or not i am not sure, but such was their very powerful strong mental indoctrination of this event it has left me with what i think will be a permenant fear for the rest of my days.

"I fear the big "P" - prostrate problems when I get older."- PopeofEruke
Well, Your Holiness, stay on your feet then!
(I can be funny now. My first 'digital' is due next year. Much more worrying than the Big A.) -

No, the last time I stepped into a hall was about 6 years ago at my mothers funeral.
It's taken me years of therapy and hard work to get on top of feeling worthless for never doing enough study, field service, prayer etc. etc. You know the story?
I've managed to get my wife and kids out now. -

Hi Paul. Welcome to the forum. So what's going on at home?
If you are still wanting to return to the meetings but want to talk here it may be wise to use your real name. There are many lurkers who would be thrilled to dob you in to the power brokers.
Cheers,

All American Christian denominations are cults.
by vomit inwarning posting while drunk.
why is jesus so interested in his second coming going to be in america?
why did god bury books made of gold in america that only can be translated inside some hat?

I've always found it best to say nothing when I'm drunk.
I must say that I too have noted that America seems to have had more than its fair share of religious sects. I am always aware of the frequency of church related things in U.S. T.V.. For example; the denominations in South Park and Simpsons characters. Regular reference to Jewish families in sitcoms, e.g. The Nanny.
This could be because we're not nearly so religiously inclined where I live and it sticks out amongst entertainment from other countries.
Perhaps the diversity of beliefs in America is due to a few hundred years of immigrants and refugees who brought their particular flavours with them.
The belief that U.S. is God's own country, ( 'God Bless America', 'My country right OR wrong' etc.) may make it easier for the religiously earnest to set up another 'Christian' religion.

"My husband's worried that I'm becoming obsessed. I'm not really. It's more along the lines that every story I read, every experience, makes me see more clearly. "
Hi mandalion, great to see you here!
The same thing happened with me. Like Aude, I sat up for all hours studying the evil apostate sites
My wife was very uncomfortable with that. I avalanched her with stuff that I was learning. I was like the antitype of someone who had just learned the 'truth'!
Spot you later,
Pete
