Wow.......well a JW forum with non-JWs. I think thats pretty funny. I havent really read other threads in this forum but if u guys can, please sum up ur reasons for not being JW anymore. I'm curious to find out why. I heard the story of how the founder of JW prophecized Jesus' coming like twice and failed but i dont know the rest and i dont know what other lies they tell ppl, hope to hear from u guys thanksalso even though it took so long for the idea of the trinity to come along i think it still makes sense, Jesus is compared to and called God too many times for it not to make sense.
John 1:1 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 8:58 (NIV) "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am
Isaiah 7:14 (NIV) Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
If i am correct, "Immanuel" means "god" or god with us

I want to know why JW dont accept the holy trinity even though there is enough biblical evidence in the bible regarding this. The following passages are from the book of John1:1. In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God: and the Word was God.
Your bible is the only one that says the word was "A" god.
1:2. The same was in the beginning with God
1:3. All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. refering to Jesus of course
1:4. In him was life: and the life was the light of men
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. - 1 John 5:7
8:24. Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins. For if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sin.
I and my Father are one." (John 10:30).
14:10. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.
16:15. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine. Therefore I said that he shall receive of me and show it to you.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. - Genesis 1:26
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. – Isaiah 6:3 Notice the repitition, it was not in vain. It was to glorify the Father, Son and Spirit.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: - John 17:20-22
"That which my Father hath given me, is greater than all . . . I and the Father are one." The words, "That which my Father hath given me," can, having regard to the context, have no other meaning than the Divine Name, possessed in its fullness by the Son as by the Father.
I think that is enough evidence but if you guys need i have a lot more to support the Trinity, I was wondering if you guys have discussed this before? And if JW really dont accept the Trinity? with all the passages from the bible that support this
