  it wasn't beauty that killed the beasts, it was their on dodgy actions. wanta bet that ananias was an elder with a well respected reputation for "sharing" his wealth? his wife had probably been lording it over everyone in the congregation about the amount of money they had donated and how grateful god and everyone else should be because of their "whole souled" contribution. they were hypocrites and heart attacks were too good for them. this type always blame god when things go bad for them and take credit when things go well. they didn't have to give any of it, so why lie about the amount? ego? self importance? pride? or maybe some kind of tax deduction?

  do you like it or dislike it?

  my view is ( weather something is false or not) i think it is great someone shares what they love with someone else.

  I haven't even started feild service... and WHY would I come here to do it? JW risk chance of excommunication coming here
  
  so as soon as you are baptized you'll be gone? what does the person you are studying with say about you hanging around here until then? you have discussed it with them haven't you? if not then you should.

  if you have already done "all the research" you need, then what are you doing here? fess up, you are counting this as field service aren't you? i don't have any problem with that, but i do not like liars. the wtb&ts has created an entire culture of lies and liars. you make "speaking the truth" impossible, you disrespect jehovah, you disrespect jesus, and then you look down your stupid little noses at anyone who doesn't have the "truth". shame on you and shame on all the other elders that are sitting around laughing about the answers the good people on jwd have offered you in an honest effort to help someone they think needs it. don't misunderstand me though, i want you to continue. the replys that you have been given will help people that you have never given any thought to. people who truly are looking for the truth.

  to the posters who have honestly and earnestly tried to answer this person's questions. keep it up because you never know who will read this and realize exactly who the real worshipers of satan are. can you say "christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses" without wanting to vomit? if not, there is still hope for you.

  1940 ford pickup. frame off restoration. 350/350. vintage aire. candy apple red with cream colored leather interior. and enough money left over for all those little things that run the cost of such a vehicle to well over $50,000. plus maybe another $100,000 or so for my sweetie's 1934 ford coupe. i just know she would like it once i bought it for her.

  Baptismal date, do you remember?

  yesterday was my 15th year anniversary of being baptized.

  may 11, 1991. i'm not sure it counts anymore since i was df'd last feb. 3, 2005, but still, it is a remarkable period of time to pass by and reflect on what changes have occurred.. i was 18 years old.

  the "internet" was barely a blip.

  i remember it was in june, or was it november...i'm sure the year was 1967, or 2003. one or the other...but i know it was in boston, or maybe it was austin. but if it was austin it must have been texas, unless it was minnesota...ah yes, i remember it well.

  i'm with you on this one...for some reason i get the feeling that i-follow-the-narrow-path is about as real as a 49 year old cop trolling for perverts on my-space.com by pretending to be a 13 year old nymphomaniac virgin. if i am proved wrong i apologize, but only time will tell i suppose.

  if these questions are in earnest, i would like to know how the person you are studying with has answered your questions...surely you asked them these things before coming to jwd to ask strangers. do you post on any other forums? please understand that this is not an attack on you or your beliefs, i would just like a clarification of these things that no one else seems to have asked.

  The Watchtower preparing to become Mainstream?

  i have heard a few active witnesses comment recently about the wt quoting more frequently from sources from other church denominations.

  i know they have done this in the past, but it seems from the rank & file that it is happening even more.. has anyone heard about this trend?

  also, do you think the tower is preparing those in the rank & file to accept new light regarding christendom (such as that they do teach some truth), and how do you think this will affect people?.

  How much persecution did you expect to come when you were a JW?

  i expected a lot of persecution. what i didn't expect was that 100% of it would come from within the congregation.

  thanks for the the thread. i think it is helpful to air our simialarities as often as possible. something i notice about this kind of thread though is that the most contentious, i hate you and i don't even have to read what you posted to tell you that, posters never reply to this kind of thread. and i think that they were probably that way as jws and just can't get past that way of thinking. just like paul was a zealot jew who became a zealot christian, some leopards change their spots and nothing else. cheers to dialouge.
