atlantis has very kindly let me see a copy of the aug 21, 2013 letter to all bodies of elders in the united states.. they are being instructed to re-organize the service meeting for the week commencing september 2nd (next week) to include a special recruitment talk to attract skilled volunteer workers for the new warwick hq.. an interesting feature of the letter is its comparison of the project with nehemiah's rebuilding of the walls of jerusalem.

considering the relocation of hq is financially motivated more than anything, the analogy is more than a little bewildering.. here is a scan of the opening comments of the two-page outline, to be given in the next local needs item.... .

“Those who volunteer to assist at Warwick may have to make sacrifices in order to help.” But it promises, “Jehovah will richly reward their efforts.”

These people have developed such a brazen lack of humility!

They no longer say, "May Jehovah bless you." Instead, they claim the ability to indebt Jehovah for their unearned gains.

How can they do this, when Jehovah has not said (in the 21st century) "Build my temple (in upstate NY)!" This project is the result of a[n admittedly] uninspired human decision: could be wrong, but hoping for the best! Yet, they dare to indenture "Jehovah" for surety of return on a sacrifice.

Oh, the arrogance!

[It's a good thing that they don't need to fear the blowback of 'taking his name in vain'.]

an 18 year oul girl stabbed her mom to death with 79 stab wounds.

her mom cried out jehovah during the attack to no avail.

It is doubtful that the signs of impending murderous rage were evident all along.

Oh dear! I fear this tragedy will be used, anecdotally, to support the advice [coercion] that parents should not allow their unbaptised teenagers/young adults to continue to live in their home. Bad association > lethal consequence.

okay people i have a new video that some of you may be interested in- i believe it is the only one of its kind online.

three elders meet with a young female that knows ttatt and is trying to get back into the jws for family reasons.

the audio also includes the three elders disagreeing and deliberating after she is dismissed from the room and then when they call her back in.

Fascinating recording! It was a bit risky - in my opinion - to leave in both references to her name (the DF'd person) and the names of the sisters who were earlier assigned to study with her/befriend her. The rough transcription removes the names, but the actual recording retains them.
