Hey, it's hard for people without college degrees, especially in this economy, to support themselves. JWs have financial pressures, new technology, late model car, gas money, dress clothes, and time off enough to go door to door. I wonder if their life would have been different if they had degrees and not GEDs.

Wow, what a sicko! It's important that victims go to the police. Even if the rapist is dead, the statute of limations is over, of there is 'no evidence' other than the victim's word. Police departmnets can oftentimes protect the victim's identity. Once it is on the public record, then other victims can more easily come forward becuase their attorneys can find the perp in the criminal records and/or media. Even if your case is barred from being too old, their case may not be. And, the Watchtower likely knew of the pedophile, and it builds a strong case for the Watchtower's culpability and liability. But, none of that can begin until a police report is filed. Pedophiles at the public's doorstep is a public nuissance, and a damn good way to stop many new converts

Will the JW.Org Site make a difference ?
by Phizzy init will obviously make a difference to how jw's obtain their literatrash, they will have to download and print it all themselves before long.. it will make a small difference to the dtod work, they will now refer even genuine questions and interest etc to the site, not taking the opportunity to "witness" on the initial call at all.
this has been happening already to a degree.. the difference i am mainly interested in is the capture of new suckers in to the borg.. we will be able to see when we get 2014's figures, sometime next year, what the rate of increase was over the last ten years.. phizzy the prophet predicts that the rate of increase over the next ten years will not be significantly up.
probably down, but certainly, i feel, not so different from the last ten.. should i be around in ten years to do so, i will wish to ask jw's:.

People joined the JW religion because the friends came every week to visit. Householders agreed with them becuase it's hard to turn down someone you know and are building a relationship. At first, the topics you and your new friends are not confrontational or unusual. So, it builds a stonger and stronger relationship while studing. Finally, the person is saying "yes" to hard to swallow things like no blood and shunning. A computer website lacks the one-on-one. I don't see the website, in and of itself converting people. Perhaps, if the WTS dropped some of its crazier and flawed teachings, then the website will do the conversions of mind. But, to make it a cult . . . you got to have the "Friends" to put on social pressure.

It looks like had his employer given him a total ban on talking about religion to his cohorts and customers, then the firing would have been justified. And, the court reduced his award by 75%. This shows that the court sided alot with the gym, but not completely. Anyway, he sounds like a trouble-maker. He came in on his off days and made very offensive comments to customers. Employers should carefully screen the hiring of religious zealots. One's employment should be to promote the business, not one's own religiion.

Disfellowed on 7/16/14 for sending a letter to my former congregation
by spbondgirl007 init's been quite a while since i lasted posted anything on jwn.
i was in hiding previously, but only because i wanted to avoid the shun gun until i had the opportunity to tell my former congregation what i think about the org./gb.
i last attended a meeting over 2.5 years ago but it wasn't until june--when i earned my bachelor's degree--that i finally had the time to collect my thoughts and get them down on paper...i decided to write my letter in a style i felt would be most appealing to my target audience--jw's still under gb mind control --in the hope that at least a few would read it and actually "think".
