who remembers this picture from that grand ol book we had to sleep..er study thru. i was just a kid, but i remember...
how can the jw's be so blind?
well actually they have perfected using the system to their advantage.
my e-x bro -in-law got married and made a buch of kids as quiclky as possible, but some how managed to stay on food stamps from day one!!! and he would work up until he reached his income limit...and was an elder too!!!
so they can suck the system dry yet return NOTHING to society( armed service, blood..you name it) yet walk arounf feeling secure that they have the true religion
i'm getting a headache

MAJOR REQUEST ON THE WTS/UN SCANDAL
by hawkaw inhello all.. i was hoping a few of you would do me a favour.
a local news editor has asked me a question.
he has asked why is this un/wts story important to the local community?.

crittersitter
good question, but it may mean nothing to the community except to reveal that JWs are no better or different than ANY other "religion" and there may be some one in the vast population who has family considering joining this KULT.
so to expose the hypocrosy of the wbts( the higher ups especially) it may help a non-jw "save" a person from getting sucked in.
I have to tell an experience i had today though. for the first time in 4 1/2 years a car group pulled up to my home. well, i knew what was coming and only had a few seconds to formulate some ??? i wanted to pose. the older lady(70 maybe?) was as sweet as could be and happened to know my hubby's family years ago. any how she asked the question that we had all been trained to ask..."what could make the world better..blah blah blah"
i of course replied my answer"jesus", but that did not flap her at all....told her i used to be a witness...never fazed her( proves she was not really listening to me, but recalling to mind her next sentence) i then asked her about the wbts being involved with the un....she shook her head and said it was NOT true, they would never do that..i replied i had proof...but she continued to drag out the mags...i politly refussed them....she left.
i have to say i just wanted to hug her and tell her she was so lied to and serving this evil org....i could have cried. i could tell she was a loving kind person, and will die never knowing the lies heaped upon the backs of others like her.
how sad...my mom was like her too...faithful to the bitter end....and leaving this world with no guarantee of ressurection
how can these GB guys sleep at night? how can we reach these ppl.
i was profoundly affected today because these ppl are being led off to hell, thinking they are paradise bound..
just some thoughts and such

so sorry for your loss.
as pets are my hobby, career and business, i know too well the feeling of losing a beloved companion.
it's worth it..you had 16+ years ..how wonderful.
i work with the local shelter and see so many abandoned pets and unwanted cast offs. it would make you cry.
BUT...i happen to have a sweet little kitten that turned up on my door step saturday morn...she's a calico..small eats like a horse( she'll be around 21 pounds by the end of this week..LOL)
would you like to give her a home?

hey, you're pretty sharp there!!! yes dino, it is a gingko...and it's beautiful too. My hubby's great grandmother planted it i believe. we live in the old log home they purchased back in '95...1895 that is. the tree is about 75 years old i've been told. they grow very slow, but it is the largest one i've ever seen.
here is a view from my doggy daycare biz next door

WERE JW'S REALLY INVOLVED @GROUND ZERO?
by crittersitter inmy currently devout jw sis told me how "proud" she was of the bro's at the wtc and how they fed , and comforted all those ppl...this told at the meetings i suppose.
or was this just spin?
i think i read (was it here) that the doors of hq got locked up so outsiders could not come in..... did they really get involved" or was it enuff to make them look good?.

i cannot imagine that they were not affected by fear and they had to wonder if this was the BIG A starting up.
all of the JWs iv'e ever known pretty much keep to themselves and only help those who are jws...even then you may not get the help you need if you are poor or unpopular in your cong.
i'd like to know the "troof"..

i'm having a blast. makes life a little more cheerful. i think it may be an artistic outlet for me. i love "critters" so i get some pretty good chances during the day to get good pix. I have a doggy daycare..
my clients love getting e-mails with pix.... here's one my daughter actually took. i was in our recliner with six or 7 pups and she got some cute pix of them -
