I woke up in a drug rehab when I was 17. Not one Elder, not one brother or sister called to see how I was doing.I spent years in active service with those people and they dropped me like a brick.Even my own family shunned me. To make it worse they anounced in the hall not to asociate with me.WOW!! what a brotherhood, what a comrodery.I woke up during those 30 days, I saw the ORG for what they really were.JWs are all out for themselves, if it helps them get to paradise they with do it, but if its contrary to the governing bodys plan then forget about it.

How many left the JW cult after.....
by AK - Jeff inthe age of 40?.
seems like a lot have left after 1/2 or 2/3 of a lifetime.
what accounts for that in your mind, if you left in later middle years or older?.

Ive been out for 15 years and I still get attacks. Sometimes I have to pull over so i don't cause a crash.Medications just muted the problems, they did not offer a solution.Personal Prayer, and not setting foot in a Kingdom Hall or a Church again has been good therapy for me.If it wasn't for my wife and kids I would be dead!

Why go to Church?
by Cellist inthere was an article in one of our local newspapers.
it's not a local happening, just some little tidbit that the editor used to fill space.
it was entitled, "why go to church".

The Bible has been rewriten hundreds of times. If you filtered coffee hundreds of times it would get diluted each time it was filtered.I personaly go right to the source for my nurishment and everone else can too, without anyones aproval. Part of the problem with setting foot in a Church or Kingdom hall is that now you are dealing with there agenda and you miss the real reason for being there.

Never a year like 2005 for disasters
by Bonnie_Clyde inthat's what the speaker said today.
he spent a lot of time on hurricane katrina and other disasters.
quoted luke 21:11, "and there will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another pestilences and food shortages, and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.

Hi
by Willow Tree inhi, i am willow tree.
i am 26 years old and from england.
i haven't been to a kingdom hall for 4 and a half years, i totally cut myself off from the jw's after their outright lack of love and concern for me while i was ill. all they cared about was getting me back to the hall, the fact i was sick made no odds to them.

Hi Willow Tree, I'm glad too here that you left the ORG. That takes courage and strength! I was born into it and believe me it is easier to leave that way you did. Leaving after being brainwashed for 18 years is tough. Its still tough on my Wife and kids, and ive been out for 15 years now. After years of praying and retrospect I believe we do not need any human moderators between us and our GOD.Jesus tought us to have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father, and not to put our "faith in man". Please do not let anyone make you feel cast out or abandoned. Through personal prayer and faith, God was, is, and is always there for all of us, not just a salect few.

LeftBehind, I pray for you!
I don't need your or any other humans aproval. God is my witness and my judge.he is also my Father as well as yours! he loves me as much as he loves you no matter what ORG I'm in or not In. You are tampering with someones free will, and that is dangerous taritory.God does not even control that.

i am almost always a very tolerant, easygoing person, but there is this one aspect of my personality that has caused us a certain amount of tension.

Shepgator, I feel your pain. My family has gone through more than I can type on this page, thanks to the ORG. I can't find were Jesus tought us to hate each other. i can't find any scripture were he tells us to abandone our family for the "Lie" AKA the "Truth" I can't find in any Bible I have that tells us to split up in the time of the end.I'm afraid the the only segragating the ORG is doing is segragating themselves from Gods Love.I canot find any listed Relions in the Bible! They are all manmade! Christianity is a label created by man! I believe we can have a personal relationship with God without human moderators.Jesus is my sheppard.

It has taken me 15 years to see people. I mean realy see them without the filter of the "Lie" AKA the "Truth" influance. Anyone can see people for who they trully are. All you need is an open mind and an open Heart. What would Jesus do? Leave the judging to the ultimate judge, our Heavenly Father.

Lets see now, did Christ were a Cross? No. Did Christ were a ring? No. Did he were a nice pendant on his lapel? No. I'm confused? Are we not suposed to act like Jesus? If I could get away with it I would were sandals and carry a staff, It could be usefull in bad nieborhoods. Are some people missing the point here? Are some people here for God's glory or their own?
