16 years ago just after leaving the Org, I checked into drug rehab. The only JW to call me during my stay was my Father. He called me to tell me how dissapointed he was in me and how I was anounced In the Kingdsom Hall as" unfit to associate with". That was one of the most pivotal momments in my life! I'm now closer to our Heavenly Father than ever before! The only organization I belong to now is mankind!

From birth till the age of 18, were the darkest years of my life spent in the Org! I now see the light and have become an example of the light, with a pure connection with our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Mother Mary.

why is it ok to celebrate a wedding anniversary but not a birthday?

i can understand christmas, easter, halloween and valentines day but birthdays, thanksgiving, mother's day and father's day don't have religious or murderous origins.

also, at the last supper, jesus told his disciples to "keep doing this in remembrance of me".

I was once blinded by the Org.18 years of my life was dedicated to the Org, not to God, which is whom we should dedicate our lives to.Once I left the Org I could finally "see".Matthew 24:4-8. 23:10. 15:8-9 Romans 1:25 John 8:12 John12:35-40. We all can see the light of Jesus, not just a select few!

These scriptures I've listed are just a few off the top of my head that may help you with your answer.We all have the ability to talk to God personaly without mediators. I think you will find all your answers from him. Of course if you want book answers and rederic, I was well trained in that. but if you want the honest truth look to your Heavenly Father.

Good cop, Bad Cop...JW elder style

well i'm still a witness so i was out in field service yesterday with this brother.

our conversation hit the usual stuff cars, television, movies.

then he went on to relate how about a month ago, the two head elders (head as in, the other elders really dont matter)took him into the back room and fryed him.

I to this day still remember when one of the pretentious, pompus and a whole bunch of other names "Elder" came over to my house when I was a kid, and proceeded to tell my Dad that he would not make to paradise if he did not attend the KH on a more regular basis. He also said that our family would not make it either and it was all his fault if we didn't. I rember thinking"who the hell are you to say that". Well as a good whipped sheep my Dad apoligized and promised to attend more frequintly. I lost alot of respect for my Dad that day, he is still a timid little sheep.All I can say is God is watching all of these injustices and is not pleased.1 Peter 3: 8-15 "Everyone must live in harmony, be sympathetic, love each other, have compassion, and be humble"

My personal relationship with God is just that,PERSONAL!

if bad associations spoil useful habits, why did jesus do it?

why is nothing new ever discovered from the bible?

You are 100% correct when you said that Jesus would associate with people with bad habits.Jesus told us to turn the other cheek as well. Search for your answers within, God is within all of us not just a select few, ie JW's.Sometimes the answers are right in front of me, I just pick up the Bible and pray. Most of the time my hand will turn to the scripture that will answer my questions.Do it in private, don't tell anyone.No one needs to know what you pray about anyway,Matthew:6, 6 "when you pray go to your room and close the door,.Pray privately to your Father who is with you"

Your relationship with God is personal. I personally would be dissapointed if you did NOT help whom ever you could and I believe that God and Jesus would be even more so!!

Were your parents hypocrits?

did your parents hold you up to higher jw standards than they held themselves or force you to live up to things they never did if they were raised in the truth?.

i know when my mother was a teenager they used to watch bewitched all the time and no one took it seriously.

they never missed an episode.

My Mother was a drug addict and an drunk.She blamed here perscription abuse on me,because she had some small complications from my childbirth.My Dad would tell us all what to say before we went to the KH.She has the Flu or she has some other illness, not shes drugged out of her friggen mind! She had more problems than I can list, but when she died last year from drug induced heart failure the org gave her the full funeral that they would give any other brother or sister.My Dad told the org she died from heart failure, but left the drug induced part out.

My Dad was very abusive. I didn't mind getting hit or yelled at, what really hurt was the fact that he never said he was sorry or made a mistake. he never said he loved me nor did he ever say he was proud of me.The first time he ever said he loved me and hes proud of me was last year after his wife died and he found out that he has prostate cancer.I have forgivin him recently and I will be present for his prostate surgery in January. He is still active in the org.

Needless to say if it wasn't for my wifes positive attitude I would have never had kids!! I try to be the mirror image of my parents, I try to do everything opposite of what my parents did, to me and for me.

I obviously wipped the JW's off the bottom of my feet alone time ago.If I did not I would most deffinetly be dead now!!

Using God's name in vain

i"ve always wondered why jw's use god's first name, "jehovah" if that's what his first name really is, and is spelled correctly?

people usually don't call their father's by their first name.isn't that disrespectful?

shouldn't we call him "heavenly father?that way it applies to whatever higher power you believe in?.
