I just checked and there are 48 respondents so far! That's fantastic.
As I mentioned, this is an exploratory survey. I'm going to generate a paper and demonstrate different approaches of statistical analysis. The purpose of the survey, then, is to provide me with data for this class but also to, hopefully, be heuristic for a future study.
My area is communication so my studies have to be communication related. Some of the stuff I've done in the past has not required quantitative analysis ...but this class does.
At any rate, I'll be happy to post aggregated results (so no one can be identified) and yes, Jeff, you passed the test.
One "cell" which is a bit small is the "I became a JW as an adult." The following chart shows most respondents where raised as a JW.
Thanks again for the support.

It should only take 3 or 4 minutes to complete the survey.

hi, ya'll.
i left jw's voluntarlily in 1987, still believing but thinking something was wrong with me that caused jehovah to reject me in spite of my best effforts.
after that it was "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die".
I remember you from the old H2O Board.
Captain of my Fate, right?
You were articulate and a joy to read. You are one of the few I remember from that board by name. "You Know" is another.
Best wishes.
anyone here heard of jw scholar rolf furuli of oslo university?
found him in www.jehovah'sjudgment.co.uk.

Abstract: | F.'s essay discusses the verbal system of Biblical Hebrew from the vantage point of the philosophy of science. According to F., the problem of induction (i.e., that we cannot be sure that an interpretation of a set of data is the right one because there are other possible interpretations) was ignored when the four-component verbal model (Imperfect, Imperfect consecutive, Perfect and Perfect consecutive) for Biblical Hebrew took shape. F. goes on to provide background on how the understanding of the Hebrew verbal system evolved, reviews the shift to an aspectual understanding of the system, describes attacks against the four-component model, and offers suggestions for future research. What is needed, says F., is a 'study which maps all the occurrences of verbs in the Hebrew Bible, DSS, Hebrew inscriptions and Ben Sirah, and comparing the four-component model and the assumptions behind it with these data' (p. 87). i'm pretty sure my fade in this town is sucessful.
i would like to have the january '07 and feburary '07 watchtowers and the latest library cd.
i don't want to go back to the kh to get them.. i have two friends who are still in ( they think i am in too).
If I go back to the KH I will be put on their radar again. It took me a long time to get off their radar.
I don't care about their "radar" but I don't want to answer a bunch of questions...or be the victim of love-bombing. I could easily pick a KH where no one knows me.
Has anyone every picked up literature at the KH with little or no "interference"?

If you need literature, go to the Kingdom Hall and order them. That is how it has always been.
Will there be questions asked, generally speaking?
i just had this site pointed out to me.
a great resource for researchers.
follow the links to many district & circuit assembly programs and many mp3s of talks from them.
Thank you !
