  i am a former active poster here, former elder, former bethelite and pretty much known by people on the xjw boards since the mid 90's.

  gawd that makes me sound old.. i notice that a great deal of uproar is being made by allegations of a hide in the closet alleged bethelite.

  to counter the damage caused by this claim, i am happy to address any questions people may have about bethel, protocol, etc.. i was at the canada branch for 11 years, worked in multiple areas including the legal department, service desk and writing dept.

  Oh Jeez.

  I'm lily white and Josie is black. Hmppfff. I see two Americans doing their best to learn from their parents mistakes and give the kids a life.

  Cultural differences will always rise above mental illness.

  And YES! those with Narcissistic personalities will fall for the Witnesses. You never get old. You can be great in the eyes of others for faithfully attending all the meetings, and writing good talks, and turning in good hours. That is all they want.

  i wanted to dedicate this posts to just talking about the emotional scars we all have had or maybe still have.

  was there a gap of time between you thinking you didn't want to continue and actually, consciously, deciding to no longer continue as on of jws?

  it's amazing to me the strong hold this religion puts on you.

  Moe, it took me over 5 years. Well, 16 years of being df'd and thinking I was as good as dead then 5 years to realize it was all a lie. (which basically wasted 21 years of my life) I'm still kinda iffy on the God thing.

  What does normal feel like? When you share a laugh with a good friend. When you hear someone else voice what you are feeling. That happened here for me.

  We were all born "normal", I suppose. It's just the crap we've had to deal with that made us feel a bit crazy.
