  Get your facts straight. And no, the executive statement is not a Hyde Amendment. It is not law. It exists at the whim of someone (Obama) that repeatedly blocked attempts at saving the lives of children that survived abortions (BAIPA). It is a joke.

  Get your facts straight. This is not about preserving the laws as they stand or ensuring federal funding is withheld, it's pure and simple about a way to make abortions nearly impossible even if they are legal. Primarily for the poor and middle class. Make sure they are unavailable even if you have to murder and terrorize doctors and practitioners.

  I think it became law only because of the climate of the times...."if it feels good, do it". The women's movement was growing stronger and stronger, and women wanted to feel empowered to reach for the sky unencumbered by unplanned children. They needed justification to terminate an unwanted pregnancy child.

  Man, there's a world of difference between villabolo and beks. One can formulate rational responses to opponents while apparently operating under the assumption that they are neither dishonest nor stupid and one, well, can't.

  I see you are fairly new here "Liberty". We've had this discussion many times with various players. What was your first indication that this was a serious thread worthy of rational responses? The title?
