  today two ideas came together for me - the thread that won't die and my sister telling me that the governor of indiana does a challenge every year - challenging the citizens of indiana to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.

  maybe we could do that here - starting january 1, we weigh ourselves (keep the dreaded number secret), post our calories consumed and minutes of exercise online everyday and post our progress every week for ten weeks - anyone interested in a jwd ten pounds in ten weeks challenge?

  i'm going to do it anyway, but it would be more fun with company.

  I hate Pot Luck

  this friday, we're having a pot luck at work before we all go on holidays for a week.

  i hate pot luck, especially when it's at work.

  i gave my wife heck for throwing out that open package of crackers that was sitting on top of the microwave for the last couple of months.

  Hmmm I usually bring lasagna, chicken enchiladas, homemade chili, fried chicken, cake, cookies......................... You couldn't convince me under any circumstances to bring something that wasn't homemade.

  as i told mary, i spent $1100.00 to have a car in my household repaired.

  Are we talking no fat, fried, or baked goodies

  Hehe I'd say if you stay away from prepared foods, you'll be doing yourself a favor. Fast food is demonized! If you are going to "fry" something, you might want to try Olive or Grapeseed oil. Walnuts are a good snack, they have Omega 3 (as does flax seed). Stay away from anything with transfats, that is the worst. If you're gonna have baked goods, make them yourself with butter or transfats free margarine. I personally think exercise is the key to life

  We brought honey bunny's cholesterol down by about 60 pts in 3 months.

  Wow, I'm happy, but rather ashamed to say I have absolutely no problems of any consequence. Not a single thing that is out of my own control.
