  my first post was a few days ago now, and finally my heart has stopped pounding whenever i log on.. :-).

  so, i have been in the truth all my life, 3rd generation witness, never left, never been in trouble, pioneered for years, and am a respected member of my congregation.

  Isn't it absurd to say it's a crime to take whole blood but up to your conscience if you want to take it in parts? Yes indeed, are they abstaining or not? It's like being told you can't eat pizza, but it's a conscience matter if you want to eat the ingredients separately. www.bibletoday.com

  "the brothers in bethel/headquarters seem very sincere and loving - what possible motive would they have in trying to deceive people, what do they get out of it?

  Big Announcement on next Service meeting

  there seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

  Something's real wrong. Somebody told me the other night that it cost $3500 for the medical profession to have a little look see up where the sun don't shine. And they recommend if annually if you're over 50? How humanitarian of them.

  The PO's daughter, but who got back in 6 months later. Anybody else it took at least a year. In another congo, the PO was deleted but allowed to continue as a pioneer. I always thought that to be deleted you had to do something worthy of being df'd involving a jc.

  Do they still do the Friday Night Pre-WT Study???

  in the early 90's, all the rage was the pre wt study.. basically, the young witnesses would get together on friday nights to underline their watchtower together.. then afterwards we'd hangout or whatever.. it used to drive me crazy because if you wanted to hang out, basically you would have to sit through another meeting.. granted it was informal, but it was the same dang thing you were going to do again on sunday.. the young ones still doing this today?.

  I did it in the mid '90's with old folks, followed by a card game that got pretty intense at times.

  Wife has gone back to the Organization...what can I expect??

  my wife and i have been married for just over one year.

  while we were just dating, she had told me that she used to belong to the jehovah's witnesses, but no longer had those beliefs.

  i thought i could handle all of this (i am a non- believer), but she has since got back to the org (all her family belong as well).

  Just be aware that she is under control and is absolutely loyal to a group of non-existent people called the FDS that is claimed to be represented by the Governing Body and all whom they appoint as their enforcers aka elders. She considers Jehovah her real husband although she is instructed to be a good wife to you. But you are now two different animals.

  has anybody still got copies of the old "truth" book, the "live forever " book, and "bible teach" book?.

  i threw them out, and regret it now because a sudden chilling realization came to me posting on another thread:.

  do you remember how in the 70s we were told to encourage the new study to compare what the nwt says with what is in his own bible?
