I've often observed that there are a lot of people for whom ANY kind of structured discipline with some moral code can be just exactly what they need to overcome problems like you mention. That doesn't make any of them THE TRUTH. JW's have served their purpose in your life, time to move on. Welcome.

Women have a thing with TP. At one time, between my wife and three daughters, I swear we wore out the bearings on a couple of TP holders!!
Never understood why it took 4 linear feet of tissue to blot 2 drops of liquid.

I know there are many many different situations out there and many folks feel they need to 'fade' or keep a low profile because of family entanglements, etc. But I really appreciate how you have drawn your conclusions and ACTED on them. AIDS/HIV, Watchtower, and Frontline
by cyberguy inwhen i was in the jw-office, working at circuit and district conventions, there was a real scare/effort to baptize those with aids/hiv after everyone else was finished.
i can understand this safeguard, but the wts position on this in the us and the western world, is that it is primary a gay disease (most infected that i knew, wanting to be baptized as jws, were not gay but former drug addicts, sharing needles).
their view is, gods punishment on a debauched lifestyle!.

I admire your courage to speak up on this subject, I did once on here and you would have thought I was calling for gassing all gays! It seems if you are not 100% pro-gay then you are a homophobic bigot. Touchy subject!
It has been well documented that every advance in HIV/AIDS treatment has been followed by a spike in new GAY infections in the San Francisco area. It is obvious how the stuff has spread, but now it has gotten so bad that it is a serious and tragic problem in the general population of third world countries. I agree, we should all try to do whatever we can to support efforts to eradicate it.

One of the real ironies of this whole fossil fuel/CO2 BS is that one volcanic eruption, like Mt. St. Helens (which I can see from my upstairs window) in the early eighties, spews more CO2 than fifty years worth of all the auto emissions in the US.

Thanks for the interesting info. MegaDude. As someone said recently, the fad idea of Global Warming being caused by mankind and/or being stopped by mankind is one of the most outrageous hoaxes ever conceived and put over.
Michael Crichtons book, "State of Fear", even though built around a fictional storyline, is an excellent book of facts refuting the 'religion' of man-caused GW.
