  every time i log on i read posts from those who are desperately trying to avoid disfellowshipping.

  i don't want to judge people whose situations i don't know anything about.

  i was involved in several, starting when i was about 10 or 11 with jobs like sweeping up sawdust or picking up loose nails.

  i loved it.

  once, when i was about 22 we were building the kh south of santa barbara in carpinteria.

  my dear old uncle was rather eccentric when it came to being tight with a nickel.

  he had plenty of money because he never spent it.

  this new database allows anyone to view your drivers license on line.

  not a good idea in the age of identity theft.

  there is a box to check if you want it removed.

  1 Peter 3:15 - Why doesn't the WTS address it.?

  1 peter 3: 14-15-16. read all three verses to frame the context of vs. 15 " ...be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

  hey, i'm no fred franz but this scripture seems pretty easy to understand.

  peter starts this letter by reminding everyone of all the fantastic things that this new born faith was promising, the return of christ, redemption for all, etc.

  as an elder in the late '70's i served more than my share of time on judicial committees.

  the jc was made up of three elders: the presiding overseer, wt study overseer and bible study overseer.

  since these positions rotated yearly, the average elder would serve three years straight on the jc.

  when i was an elder i often was approached by publishers who wanted to report some kind of bad conduct by a brother or sister.

  this led to all kinds of unpleasant, unloving situations.

  the first question of the accused was always "who told you this?
