i don't know where the elders learned this one.
maybe it was local - i don't know.
but.... these were shepherding calls to build you up spiritually so therefore no serving of coffee or cookies were allowed.. was this true with your congregation's shepherding visits?.
Does anyone do ANYTHING off the cuff anymore? It seems there are policies and procedures or programs for every occurance in our lives! I find it HORRIBLE!

why does this line of thinking hold so much wieght?
i cannot understand why people think and are content thinking just because a farmer promises to quell the smell, he doesn't need to present a clear and consise plan for dealing with the smell, and if his promises and ideas are junk, he still gets to hold on to his title for years.
or does the farmer not hold the authority to quell the smell in reality?

if it can be proven that tobacco use was a practice before all the o-so-explicit cleanliness laws in deuteronomy then god's silence on the matter could be deemed as proof that he did not mind such things.. anyone know if tobacco use has caveman roots?
Well you got about 40 trillion people to interview and decide if you agree with their opinion about it being right or wrong. Or you can search for yourself to try and find God's. 1 or 40 trillion...which would you rather try and please?
I don't know how He sees it. Nobody on the planet does either. Although people sure have many opinions of what He thinks about it.

first i want to thank everyone who's e-mailed me or posted links either to other websites or threads in this form dealing with these issues.
i am making careful documentation of responces from people on both sides of the fence.
please feel free to contribute no matter how you feel on the subject, if you feel god inspired the bible please to contribute reasons and if possible include scriptures to back up your point of view.
The problem again....Is that true to what was foretold...the Bible is full of many words that are easially twisted by men. How else would you expect them to be fooled into making a show of worshiping their mortal enemy? By allowing Himself to be their puppet for 2,000 years...what happens when Bill Gates pops up from the dead, and starts calling the shots again? How are the execs going to greet Him in front of everyone?

i was just browsing through the organizational manual and nowhere did i see the procedure for how the gb receives information for the anointed around the world.
it seems reasonable to me that there would be some sort of arrangement for the fds to present "new light" to the gb.
anyone know how this is done or even if it is?
Funny...I would bet if an "annointed" person tried to voice their opinion to the GB, and exault themselves to GB status, I would bet they would be quickly shunned. "Have faith in us....but we are not dumb enough to put our faith in you." ok.
i guess my basic goal here is to express to others and hopefully get more support in my efforts to tear down the two worst and most inaccurate books the society has published.

God's Word......hard to understand to allow dumbasses to make God a puppet and advocate of their personal opinions. Funny...if they could not...they would not be publically worshiping Him, would they?
