hello this is my first post and i wanted to introduce myself so here goes.. my name is lainey, and i have not been to the meetings for about 4 years now.. i am 28 and work as a doctor in a big city university hospital as a sho.. also for my sins, i am cassies little sis, and i am staying with him for a little while, as i am signed off sick for the next month with a stress related disorder.. after the death of my older bro and my dad within the past few months, i started suffering from terrible nightmares, most of them connected in some way to my witness upbringing.. me and cassie have talked for some length and he suggested that i spend some time having a look on this site and meeting others who have had similar issues to face in life.. i hope you are all are better listeners than cassie, who tends to fall asleep when i am in the middle of talking to him.

lately, we've gotten together with my wife's family and their friends.
my wife has brought up that we're no longer going to meetings and "practicing" the religion.
i find it very refreshing to explain reasons why i do not support jehovah's witnesses, as a religion.

(service, meetings, full-time ministry, contributions, etc.
)
The law firm I work for charge out my services at £100 per hour, (wish i could see a bit more of that)
Anyway when I was a bethel, they had all that free legal advice on a full time basis for over 2 years
No wonder they liked me...............I was saving them a fortune.

one of our close friends is on the verge of an almost inevitable confrontation with her dad re: her fading.
her family is very devoted to the wts, and she expects that she'll have only one shot at presenting her defense to him.
she has 5 issues in particular about which she feels very strongly (not necessarily in this order):.
Show them books printed as late as 1925/29 and they show that they did not believe it and it's a recent invention, fitting the prophecy (in hindsight) to match some eventful dates.On this 1914 date hangs their whole 'authority from christ' doctrine.

well im back from my " relaxing trip to the coast "........ and apparently wile i was gone my jw father in law stepped up his plan for total jw world domination .
he has now officially threatened me with dfing .
and informed my wife that by my continued association with a disassociated person i am placing myself in jeopardy of changing my inactive status into a situation that needs to be handled in a judicial manner.
