...work with the idea of the FDS?? Are we to conlude that Jesus, in 1918, chose an organization NOT inspired by God at the exclusion of all others? That God does NOT speak through the FDS? That the literature being published is NOT inspired by God? As was posted earlier, doesn't this fly in the face of everything they have claimed/published to date?

I could go on and on. This interview is priceless!

Of all the comments made (all of them bombshells in their own right), it's this one:

"JWs are not the ONLY spokesperson organization of God on earth "

that strikes me as being REALLY big and which is going to require a lot real mental gymastics to try to explain while maintaining that they are the only organization that Jehovah is using on earth.

Am I missing the 'easy argument' of explaining this?

Is there any chance that all of these comments will become a matter of 'public record' (in a news report perhaps) that is easily able to be referenced from readily available, non-apostate sources and also non-refutable as to having been said as 'official WTBTS' position?' Any chance there is some kind of, as of yet unanounced, 'new light' shining through these comments?

Please explain how disfellowshipping is a loving gesture

can someone please outline the rationale and scriptures used to support the idea that disfellowshipping is a loving gesture?

i am trying to understand how this behavior is justified, when in my mind in seems a simple matter; one only needs ask oneself, 'if jesus (or jehovah) were standing next to you, would jesus (or jehovah), support any shunning-type actions?

if you can acccurately disprove the mathematics in the following i will be at the local kingdom hall first thing in the morning and ask the elders if i may rejoin them in worship.. here is some information i have compiled regarding what the watchtower has printed in regards to the babylonian kings and how the lengths of their reigns can be calculated to arrive at the date of the destruction of jerusalem by nebuchadnezzar.

if you're like me you've probably remained totally clueless whenever the subject of the chronology leading to back 607 b.c.

as the date for the destruction of jerusalem by nebuchadnezzar comes up.

Sorry for what might appear to be simple questions that may be answered elsewhere, but:

1) Is there any disagreement about the fact that there are no dates in the bible to begin with? (Simple question, only a simple answer needed. Either there are dates in the bible or there are not. I am not talking about translations or interpretations. Either the bible has dates such as 586 BC, 537 BC, 607 BC, etc or it does not.)

If there are dates, please supply book/chapter/verse.

If there are no dates in the bible, then there can exist no "scriptual (bible) evidence" for ANY specific date. All dates must be derivative of secular/archaelogical sources. Yes? The bible only provides lengths of times for and between events, either literally or interpretatively. Right? And these timings from the bible may or may not correlate to secular/archaelogical discoveries?

2) Is there any secular/archeaological evidence/support (no matter how weak or strong) for events ascribed to 537? If so, please tell/describe. Again, please try to keep it simple.

What is the Future of the Watchtower Society?

after reading comments on this site for a while and looking at what happens to other religions i feel the watchtower society has a long future in front of it.

this is bad news all round, sad for us waiting for our families and sad for witnesses waiting for paradise.

the reason i say this is that any organisation with 6 million members, billions in assets and little to spend their money on would find it very hard to go out of existence.
