  may 1969. i didn't know i was in trouble.now, years later, i suddenly do see it.. we're not talking drugs.

  i never did drugs.

  ever.nothing is worse than stone cold sober.what i did was more destructive: i had mainlined on god.a weird brand of god: jehovah god.. i was shredded and unaware.

  2017 Annual Meeting

  this just in from the 2017 annual meeting:.

  1. watchtowers and awakes won't be released regularly, at least three watchtower and awakes per year.

  6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

  a quote from one of my witness friends.

  "Jehovah always knows just what we need...."

  WHAT!!!!! So the FDS is now providing the least "Spiritual" food ever. It's like people in the Soviet Union rejoicing because the government decided they only needed one meal a day then later one meal a week and btw its going to be the same meal every time......

  My problem with Original Sin

  i found this quote in a book i was reading and it struck me this is why original sin is a problem for me.. damnation is the start of your morality, destruction is its purpose, means and end.

  your code begins by damning man as evil, then demands that he practice a good which it defines as impossible for him to practice.

  it demands, as his first proof of virtue, that he accept his own depravity without proof.

  It's funny Terry and Isle of Lewis. I read the book and then got the typical JW statement that "I know it's the truth and I'm too smart to abandon the truth" I responded with a line from the book "there are no contradictions so if you find two believes in contradiction one of your primisise are wrong."

  I don't accept everything from any source but that book was an eye opener for me as far as my history with the Witnesses is concerned

  i understand and because i knew i would take her out of the hall so she could move and do the things 4year old kids do.. anyway discovered a new game the brother were playing with me.

Anyway it was fun I gave them nothing it was frustrating I'm sure but the best part was a 20 something kid who ask if I wanted a study... I told him I was baptized before you were born and then the game was over... Well played kid.

  Humility? Screw Humility.......

  .....said the exiting jw.. this jw saw it all, the games, the politics.

  oh, and how this quality of "humility" was used as an anvil to keep, not just your actions in line, but your thoughts and feelings as well.. the leadership of jw's is an extremely talented bunch.

  they know exactly how to reframe concepts to their own ends.. so, once you have your awakening, and you leave, and you remember how often you were symbolically on your knees all the time, you say "never again!".

  in the last two decades, however, the book1984 by george orwell has drawn a much greater reading audience.

  orwell portrays a society brainwashed by political ideologies to the point where they are intolerant of any other mindset.

  Long before I read Cof C but after I discovered some of the lies I found the book 1984 to be one of the things that pointed out the true nature and danger of the ORG.

  for the last year or so, the opening lyrics to gloria estefan's "always tomorrow" have been howling at me.. i've been alone inside myself, far too long.

  never really wanted it that way, but i let it happen..... .

  (btw, the message in that song is great for former jw's, if you want to think about the lyrics that way....).
