i had 'outpatient' surgery yesterday - not to be confused with 'minor' surgery in today's world.
if, after coming out of it, you still have a pulse, and can go pee, they will send you home.
i am having limited pain today - but feel pretty good.
Get well soon Jeff !
let's say you won a very large sum of money, say 10 million us dollars.
it would no doubt change your life but how would it affect your relationship?
are you in a relationship which has its financial advantages, or maybe do you cringe at the thought of semi ruination in the wake of a divorce?
Thanks for your input folks. I've always seen money as a commodity that can give you the freedom to live your life how you want to. What it buys on a material level doesn't interest me very much. How it affects an individual and those close to him or her is ultimately going to reflect the person's true character.

That's for sure. Only yesterday I had the old vinyls out and was listening to Deep Purple (Made in Japan) and Golden Earring. Otherwise I'll listen to what I'm in the mood for at the the time. Howlin Wolf, Beethoven, Dread Zeppelin, ACDC, Hank Williams, Captian Beefheart, Neil Young, The Who, Sex Pistols. Can't say I'm too into the modern bands although I like The Zutons, Coldplay and British Seapower.

Recieving 10 million dollars now probably would end the marriage as we both have different ideas on many things like, where do we vacation or live out the rest of our lives.
That's interesting DJK and just what I expected quite a lot of people to say. Some may be frightened of the prospect of loneliness in later life, but is it better to be alone, or living with someone who you've simply become tired of for the sake of company?
The more dollars at your disposal, the better your opportunity to advance in your relationship.
An interesting point. So money can advance relationships?
a very good friend sent me a link to this site to assess my personality ;) .
anyho, i thought to share it with you guys, you try it too :p. what cracked me up the most i was not too far from being werewolf or dragon either lol, (heck i'm even demon over 50% lmao) i guess not too far from the truth either lol.

Zagor thanks. I'm a fellow Faerie!
Strange. I've never thought of myself as being a heavenly body; although I have been told I have one.

I read with interest the recent thread regarding couple staying together for the sake of their children. I noted quite a few people who felt trapped. Given the freedom aspect of money, could you see your relationship folding by mutual consent if money considerations were removed from the equation?
Wealth is no guarantee of happiness and of course money can be the reason for a break up. What I'm talking about though is if next week you had $10 million in your account, would it be tempting to split it in half and go your separate ways?
Please understand I'm not in this dilemma LOL, but am interested in how money shapes us, corrupts us and enables us.

Jakes- the Indians have got some pretty fanatical supporters too:
06 March 2007 - 15:35
A desperate cricket fan is putting his kidney up for sale in a bid to get tickets for a flight to the West Indies to watch the cricket World Cup.
Sarun Sharma, of Jamshedpur, is expecting to pocket £3,500 for the organ which he says he will only give when he returns from watching the tournament.
According to the Press Trust of India, the 23-year-old said: "I am really serious. I am prepared to give one of my kidneys in lieu of money, as I want to go to West Indies to see India playing in the World Cup."
He added that he couldn't see anything wrong with the offer and that he knows several people who were happily living without a kidney.
dear friends,.
i just received a call from a concerned jw friend about what is going on behind my back.
a dfd friend whom i've been supporting through his mental distress and suicidal tendencies has done me a very strange turn.
CoCo I'm not sure I can come up with any new suggestions, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending positive vibes.
Your concerned JW friend has helped considerably. At least you're pre-armed, and with the right strategy and a cool head you can conceivably get yourself out of this tight spot. Keep us all up to date.
All the very best
Clam
PS I bet Jeeves would've known what to do!
