There are certainly advantages to you if you simply fade. It means you are not barred from speaking to other JWs which may include family members. Some will ignore you anyway as they do me but at least you don't get the stone wall all the time.

new blood rules?
by xbro inbeen out the 'link' for a bit,is it true theyre now allowing it?
or is it just if yiour face fits?.

Just to clarify a bit further. If a baptised witness takes a complete blood transfusion, they are actually disfellowshipping themselves.
Remember when a witness gets baptised these days they have to agree to abide by all the distinct doctrines of the society.
So the elders would argue, because you have taken blood knowingly you have gone against your own baptism vow, therefor you are telling the world you no longer want to be known as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
It kinda makes sense in JW land.

Another JW Haiti bragging video on youtube
by alanv inanother video showing how jws help witnesses and others in haiti.
when you think of all the other organisations who unselfishly help anyone in need and don't make videos to promote there own ideas as members of the watchtower do.
this so makes me sick.. this one is made by two haiti jw missionaries.

Another video showing how JWs help witnesses and others in Haiti. When you think of all the other organisations who unselfishly help anyone in need and don't make videos to promote there own ideas as members of the watchtower do. This so makes me sick.
This one is made by two Haiti JW missionaries. They even mention Jesus words about you will here of reports of wars. What the hell has that got to do with an earthquake. Even if they had quoted the next verse about earthquakes the society themselves have agreed that there have been no more earthquakes in our time than in previous centuries.
They try to prompte the idea that God looks after them, even though there is no evidence whatsoever of God helping anybody in this situation.
It just annoys me how they use any situation to try and show they are special.
Sorry I can't provide the link to the video, but just type in Jehovah's Witnesses into the youtube search then videos from this week.

Worldly friends on Facebook
by dgp insome people i know to be jw's have worldly friends as facebook friends.
i apologize for my ignorance, but, isn't this supposed to be socializing with worldlies?
if so, it seems many jw's are simply ignoring what the wts says.

It's really what Rick Fearon calls the conscious class. They are officially JWs but really do very little
to support the org. They are on the outskirts. Neither in or out.
There really does seem to be a lot that follow their own conscience even though it goes against what the society tell them.

JWs don't leave the organization over doctrine
by doublelife incan anyone help me with a quote from a publication studied in '09 that had a box that said jws leave over selfish reasons but not over doctrine?
i think it was studied in the bs but i can't find it and i already tried the search feature.
i remember someone posted about it at the time it was studied.

Whether the WT said it or not, it is just another lie coming out of Brooklyn. You only have to read the accounts of people's exit on this board to realize that most people left because they could no longer live a lie.
It may well be that once they are out they might do something terrible like celebrate a birthday, celebrate xmas or worse watch a dodgy film, but the main reason they leave is because they have seen so much not right in the org.

Over half the world population have never heard of Jehovah's Witnesses
by alanv injust looked through some of the largest populations in the world and ten of them add up to 3,500,000,000. how many witnesses serve these 10 countries.
no more than 60,000. the largest are china and india which together have around 2.5 billion people.
so is the jw good news being spread earthwide.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Considering this is meant to be one of the identifying marks of the true religeon, it really shows how inadequate the witnesses are.
You may remember another identifyer was meant to be how the annointed figure goes down every year. Clearly wrong as well.

Letter from WT's Haiti Branch Committee re: Society's relief response
by Dogpatch injust got this in, don't know if it was mentioned here yet, but this illustrates how the watchtower views/responds to emergencies.
note the dig on university and "higher education" (especially sad for a poor country like haiti with poorly educated masses).. randy.
it was a terrifying moment for all!

Randy I got an Email from Freeminds this morning with a link to the worldwide report for 2009 from the new yearbook.

JW's came to my door last week
by pr0ner init was two "sisters".
one wasn't able to make it to my door as she had some health issues.
the other one was a bit older and must have just been baptized.

That was a good point about the Baptists doing it so it's OK for JWs to do it. I would love to have conversations like that but because I have only faded it can't really happen or I would be disfellowshipped and never be able to talk to my witness son again (sigh)
