Had the C.O visit this week...went out on service and Wow

this is my first post here (not being comments) but i still have to tell my story but for that i need to get my mind together in other to give as much detail as possible to be able to share it.

will do in a future post.. anyway i had to share this.. so i went out on service this morning (i never do i always end up excusing myself because i hate field service) reason i did was to see what the new c.o had to say and he sure did say something.

he was saying what we had to present and he went over the watchtower magazine.

I know for myself, the friendlier someone is who comes to my door, the more suspicious I am about their motive for coming to my door.

People understand that most people are after something whenever they call on you.

Interestingly, the increase in Europe is now around 0.2% which is very similar to the population increase of Europe. This means for all the hours and effort the witnesses in Europe have put in this last year, they are no further ahead than this time last year.

2015 Worldwide Memorial Attendance: Another Sign of Decline

jw memorial attendance last year - 2014 - was about 50,000 shy of 20 million.

some posters on this forum had confidently predicted before the 2014 memorial that attendance would hit more than 20 milion.

they were wrong.. now, in 2015, and the memorial falling on a weekend night (where attendance is historically much higher), attendance has not only failed to top 20 milion but has declined by more than 87,000 in attendance over 2014:.

Is it true? Heard a rumor WT postphones Disfellowshipping until further notice!!??

i am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.

i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.

has anyone else heard anything like this recently?

The org is getting more and more mainstream every day. They realize they have to do this to survive. So it would make sense to relax the rules towards disfellowshipping in some cases. They certainly must know that if someone disassociates themselves by letter, that is not the same thing at all to someone who is committing some gross sin regularly as a congregation member.

so yesterday in accordance with my boys wish, we put the christmas tree and decorations up.

ridiculously early i know, but it made him happy, and even i found decorating the tree fun.. the rebel..

I know I am in the minority but I just cant get excited about xmas. I feel it was the one thing JWs got right So many people say I better buy a present or send a card to so and so as they will probably be sending one to me. And I certainly dont wait till xmas to invite friends and family round like some do. I understand that it is mainly for kids, but once they have flown the next I see no reason to continue some totally commercial celebration.

bust fellow worker leaving job 2 hours to go to KH

the last 2 tuesdays one of my fellow workers would step out for 2 hours.

tonight he came back with a wt book in spanish .

i worked with his this man year and never knew he was a jw.. i went into how the wt lied to the mexician gov't just to own the land of the kh's .

Maybe you should remind him that he is stealing from his employer. You will actually be doing him a favour, so he does not get so much indoctrination at the meetings.

What they dont say if it is true, is that JWs will do the same, as they often have things they dont want to tell others honestly.

CO Comes Up With A New Way To Be Judgemental...

at the latest co visit something very strange happened.

during the meeting with the elders and servants he passed out a copy of a hypothetical publisher card and asked us what we could learn from it.

upon receiving it i saw that the average hours were pretty good, it had return visits and quite a few bible studies.

If we look at the graph on jwfacts we can see that although bible studies have a healthy growth rate over the years, the actual number of baptised has stayed about the same for the past twenty five years.lol

Yearbook - will they drop figures that show a decline?

do you think the yearbooks will stop showing negative information as the numbers stagnate or even drop?

Now that they no longer print the Kingdom Ministry, they have taken the opportunity to drop the field service highlights from the new workbook. It was really getting a joke. USA edition would say something like a 10% increase in pioneers in some remote island somewhere with 100 publishers. Certainly nothing of any substance.

Why doesn't God need a creator, while the Universe does?

i asked this question of a jw that called on me yesterday: "if the universe requires a creator, why doesn't god?

if the universe must have a beginning, why doesn't god?

he claims to have an answer, but it must wait for next time he calls.. i'm hoping you guys can give me a heads-up as to what he will say.

Yes for JWs, it is a very simple question. They will just say that God has always been, and just like the concept of time and space, he has no beginning and no end.When I was a JW I would ask a householder where time and space began and where and when would they end. Most people cant answer that, so JWs just say it is the same with God, our brains simply cant understand those concepts.
