  I remember in the 1970s my best friend and his girfriend wanted to marry because they were very much in love and didnt want to wait any longer. They were both about 20 years ago. The presiding elder then wouldnt allow them to get married at the Kingdom Hall, because he decided they were too young so they married at a registry office instead. This was in the UK.

  Providing any slight increase comes mainly from the poor countries, it is a good thing in my book. Certainly that is the way things have been going lately. Also of course, access to the internet is more widespread in rich countries for obvious reasons. Last year if you take the whole of Europe there was a decrease in average publishers. That is great news, along with many other countries that had little or no growth.

  Thanks darksilver for your comments and observations. It maybe that when Andre Schofield made his comment about 60 years in London, he was just thinking about 60 Years in Mill Hill. But certainly the major lie there was about the increased demand for bible literature being the reason they are moving.

  Actually I think most JWs would know that at least in the uk, there certainly is less demand now for literature, as so much of it now comes electronically.

  mexico is by far the country where the witnesses have had the most success in the entire world.

  almost any statistic except the total amount of witnesses shows that mexico is where the witnesses have had the wildest success in the world.proportional to population, the witnesses in mexico are double, or nearly triple, what they are in the us or brazil.but there is "trouble in paradise".

  if mexico falls, pretty much the whole watchtower falls.which is why it is so important to have jwfacts translated to spanish.i made an analysis and things are looking bad in mexico... if trends continue, mexico will become just like the 1st-world countries.here is the first graph:maximum publisher % increase:.

  Yes thanks for the graphs. Very interesting. Last year I tabled all the countries making up Europe, and for the first time ever there was a decrease across the whole of the continent.

  As a JW how would you answer this if someone brought it up in the ministry?

  as a jw i pretty much just went along with what was taught from the platform i didn't do any real bible study.

  as a result, now that i am out of the org.

  i find scriptures that blow my mind.. i am not sure how i would have reacted if someone had pointed this out to me when i was a jw but now i can't believe i've never noticed this before.

  it is the continuation of last year's report.

  Free to sin but still cannot bring myself to do it

  have da'd myself nearly 3 months ago.

  now i am part of this world but i feel myself the odd one out.

  something inside me is still blocking me to do the things i have been longing to do while i was still a jw, such as attending birthday parties, sex, etc.... just last nite, i was on the way to attend a birthday party.

  Its not easy when you first get free of the cult. I too was under their control for many years. Its a matter of taking one step at a time. Personally even now after being out for 20 years I dont show much interest in birthdays and none in xmas. But that is more to do with how i always felt abut them. The difference is I avoid some things now because I want to, not because an Organisation has told me. However if you actually like the idea of those celebrations, just choose carefully the ones you would like to attend. Make sure they are not with people who like going over the top, and then I am sure you will have a great time. Good luck to you, and well done for getting out of the cult. You wont regret it.

  Carts in Florence/pisa

  I have also seen them in many countries by their carts. Everyone simply walks by, showing no interest at all. Some of them will know a bit about the witnesses with all the media coverage and youtube videos available. Others just have better things to do than read their trash.

  go up to cart witnesses and ask what their organization is doing to aid hurricane victims.

  and when they say they look to gods kingdom for the solution.

  say your solution is for god kill 99.9 % of humans!

  Generally these days they dont discuss a lot on the street, they just say go to jwdotorg. All will be explained there. However on the doors it is a lot easier to get them to answer questions, as there is no one else looking on, as there is in the cart witnessing. So yes they are good questions to ask a JW on the doors.
