I actually collated the figures from Europe last year, and overall there was no increase at all in average publishers.

I think it's possible for a change of trend in JW growth
by Chook injust like after decades of memorial partakers declining and now reversed.
this information age might reverse the trend of jw membership.

There are only 4 ways to leave the Jehovah's Witnesses
by new boy inthere are only four ways of leaving the jehovah’s witnesses.
so there are four ways that could lead to shunning.
i say “could” because options three and four has some loopholes.

Fading doesnt need to be a tricky one. You just gradually do less and less, and when the elders come knocking you just say you have some personal issues you are dealing with, and you will contact them if you need to in the future. Certainly no need to move. Unless you do some serious sin that they get to hear about, you just carry on with your new found freedom, and enjoy the rest of your life.

1975 - JWs in other countries, not just the U.S. also knew about the prediction
by deegee ini have been wondering, if the 1975 prediction was just a rumour started by the rank & file as the wt claims, then how did jws in other countries, a part from the u.s., also come to know about the prediction?.
i started studying with the jws during the 80s when i was a child.
while attending one of my first meetings during that time, a brother commented during the wt study that armageddon did not come in 1975 because it was not known how many years after adam, eve was created.. at the time, i hadn't a clue what the guy was talking about.

After being in the so-called "Truth" makes me despise all religions.
by Fader812 inafter being a jw made me lose trust in religion, from the lies, hypocrisy and greed of this organization made me lose faith completely.
what does one do after this mind f$%@, what is there to look forward to?
do i make up my own agnostic theory in head and hope for the best?

Yes I am the same as you. Watchtower did a good job of showing the hypocrisy and lies in other religions, and I realized after a while they were no better, and in many ways worse. So now I am free to lead my life as I want to. I have no fear at all of some great being in the sky watching my every move. So loving life now and especially so as I am now retired.

Aust Census Data shows decrease while Yearbook shows increase
by shepherdless inon threads about 8 or 9 months ago, i put up some detailed data from the 2011 and 2006 australian censuses.
data from the 2016 census is becoming available in stages, and i mentioned recently that i would do an update.
finally, as of about today, some data of interest is available, and i have started to look at this, but it is time consuming, and i am time-poor.. anyway, the first search i have conducted is just a simple breakdown of the number of people describing themselves as jw's.

Jehovah's Witnesses on BBC World Service radio
by jw news 2017 in© copyright bbc world service © copyright bbc heart and soul **" witness protectionheart and souljehovah’s witnesses follow a strict interpretation of the bible.
it is supposed to shape every facet of the lives of its 8 million followers around the world.its beliefs set it apart not only from non-believers and other christian faiths.but what has emerged in recent years is an alleged catalogue of sexual abuse that has gone unreported and unpunished due to this adherence to the literal word of god.david cook meets the survivors of years of abuse who say their claims were ignored because of the lack of two witnesses to the crime, a major law of the organisation which it says is enshrined in the bible.jehovah’s witnesses deny they shelter any abusers but he will hear how some alleged abusers were allowed to remain part of the organisation because of the lack of witnesses.he will also investigate how this insular worldwide community is responding to mounting pressure to turn over decades of testimonies which could expose thousands more cases of abuse...
