it just dawned on me, and i'm really a little put out over it.

i was reading alanf's comments about vinny and his willingness to sacrifice children if god told him to.

alan suggested any fundamentalist christian should agree he would, and vinny did in fact agree.

AA you are drawing your own reality and block out anything you are afraid off! Funny stuff with reality is that if you ignore it you get hurt or somebody else get hurt. Ofcourse if you ignore hallucination and illusion, then nothing terrible won't happen.

5go Interesting that very idea of flight of heaviear than air machines was "Perr_Reviewed" and denied for 3 yaars until those "pear-reviewers" themselves saw the machine. Interesting if Einstain would be able to publicise his works on Relativity if he would be peer-reviewed by Nutonian scientists who believed in absolutes of time and space? See you can't promote relativity theory if you are reviewed by ones who believe in static universe. You can't promote scientific theories of Intelligent origins of everything if PeerReviewers blindly believe in Philosophical Materialism. But what is nice with science is that it does not care about what ppl believe, it just goes... slower or faster but it rolls over any ideology and faith based restrictions of ANY kind.

The Trinity ( arguement to end all arguments I hope )

i pretty much don't think much of christendom.

but why do christians insist on holding such an unholdable position with the trinity.. the bible i agree holds proof for both trinity and nontrinity positions.. i still don't get why that christians other than catholics would hold such an untenable position as god came down to earth but didn't, and he prayed ( talked ) to himself a lot.. .

i remember a comedy sketch were some kids were stumping a nun in catholic school with question on the trinity and the eurachrist..

To argue against Trinity you have to understand it. You can't argue against something you don't understand. But to understand trinity, it is not so eazy to do! So you can take it or leave it. And when ppl say, they can't understand (or show it by creating straw-man) and that's their argument against validity of it, then I tell that I don't understand chemistry so chemistry is BS!

Need some help re:Trinity scriptures

i have a pamphlet somewhere in this apartment that i cant seem to find, it deals with the nwt not consistenly rendering the logos, ho-theos, and theos.

they translate these words inconsistently as lord,jehovah,jesus, etc etc etc.. .

what i need to know are scriptures where these words arent rendered consistently.

BTW IF... IF it is possible, record every of their own words. Coz JW are with ery bad memory. Today they can say one thing, and next they they will say contrary thing! So if you would have their own words recorded, you could use them against them. JW did (and still is doing) pretty decend work of documenting their own blunder and falsehood, so deeper they go into their lies, more clearly their lies manifest!

let's say i'm in a generous mood, and i invite you to choose from three cardboard boxes in my living room.

To see the solution better is to extend it to 1000 boxes from which you pick up only one. Then your oponent opens 998 empty boxes and gives you the chance to swap! In this case it is obvious that you are changing 1/1000 chance for 999/1000 chance!

IYO, what r the most problematic scripture(s) for dubs?...or lack there of

hey everyone,...in your opinion, (1) what scripture or passages in the bible completely go against jdub doctrine?

scriptures that the dubs really can't answer or really can't fit into their equation,...thus, they go unnoticed or avoided.

(2) or,...what scriptural proof should be in the bible to back their doctrinal claims.

Do not remember exaclty where in John chapter 5, but Christs words, that everyone have to honor Son as they honor Father. JW even do not speak with Christ, so they can't possibly say, they honor Son as they honor Father. Also Christ atleast in two places sayed "Come to me". JW never come TO Christ, they claim they go through Christ, but how can you go through something without goint TO this something? And one more scriptrue in Acts (probably chapter 19 but not sure) is where Paul says, that Holy Spirit obtained christianst through it's own blood (How can Holy Spirit have blood)?

my fathers arguement is always that the fds is not inspired so their humanity causes them to get things wrong.

they are merely spirit directed.

i realized a main flaw in this arguement last night.
