  Hey Serene,

  I know exactly how you feel. I had a one year relationship with a JW woman which ended in January because she couldn't continue leading a double life. I was a secret the entire time. If you have questions, feel free to PM me. Being a Christian as you are, it may or may not shock you as to the general beliefs that differ from yours immensely. Christ being a created angel, not God and the twisting of Scripture to support their theology. No physical ressurection of the body. No birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, holidays etc..

  We still are having trouble breaking away from each other. We still keep in contact through emails/text messages. It's really been the most heart-breaking situation I've ever known. I thought I was going to marry this girl.

  I suggest you read the posts on this site. They will really give you insight into JW beliefs and doctrines. Educate yourself as much as you can on everything. And like I said, if you need advice or anything from someone on the outside who was in your exact situation, let me know.

  Serious Question: Spanking

  ive never been punished like that i my home.

  my family always talked to me and we would decide a non-physical punishment.

  i was wandering, is still common for jw family to spank their children and if so, does the spanking continue into their late teens, even adults.

  I was told of a situation where an 18 yr old girl was whacked in the legs with a wooden stick as her friends were coming over to pick her up. This happened in the front yard where her friends watched.

  just out of curiosity id like to know which brand of creationism you subscribe to and why you feel it is the right one.. .

  1. old earth creationism.

  the belief that the earth and the universe are very old, and life was created in various stages that correspond to the way the genesis account says they do.

  your categories are pretty narrow. Out of them I'd say i'm a combo of Old Earth Creationism and Intelligent Design. However, by no means do I think it should be taught in school. I don't even know what I think about that.

  i've got some relatively simple questions that i would like answered from the bible, by dozy!

  if dozy has enough faith to do it.. i would like to see one verse from the bible that actually says jesus & michael the archangel are one and the same.

  very interesting. But I must confess. I'm a Christian and find myself very uncomfortable when surrounded by overt/ultra Christians. I don't know if it's fake but i think sometimes over the top to make a point or a proclamation. It's actually been on my mind a lot lately. If I am wrong in my discomfort...
