Was There Any Watchtower Interpretation That You Never Quite Understood?
by minimus ini knew what the watchtower taught regarding the "faithful & discreet slave class" but how they could ever suggest that "domestics" were "individual members" of the anointed that were given food to the other anointed ones, yet they specifically were not members of the governing body, but the governing body represented the group that would take the lead in feeding others, was beyond me!
the whole interpretation of the fds doctrine is ridiculous!.
were there certain things that puzzled you as to how the watchtower could come up with a particular view?

Why is Talking to a Witness so Hard?
by Perry inhere's my take for one of the reasons: jw's perceive anyone who asks the wrong questions as a hater of jehovah and a persecuter.
they think jesus had them in mind here: .
john 17: 14. i have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as i am not of the world.

Perry,
I would add that they not only like to feel hated, but they love to hate! This is what a cult does! It teaches hatred for anything and everything not supporting the cult! To me it's just another hate club!

by Rayvin inmy husband got a call on his cell phone.
an elder from the local kh told him he would like to get with both of us.

Is your husband still DF'd? They might be doing their yearly calls on DF'd people.

A rhetorical analysis of the Sept. KM Question Box
by Leolaia insome have pursued an independent group study of biblical hebrew and greek so as to analyze the accuracy of the new world translation.
they have also held conferences and produced publications to present their findings and to supplement what is provided at our christian meetings and through our literature.. throughout the earth, jehovah's people are receiving ample spiritual instruction and encouragement at congregation meetings, assemblies, and conventions, as well as through the publications of jehovah's organization.
rather, the claim is implicit.

Leolaia,
You’re too funny! Yep, when I was a dub, I was drowning in the “deep” manure of WT “thinking” as I “explored” the more advanced “provisions” of the “slave!” Yes, I did get “filled” with something, but it wasn’t “accurate knowledge!” Only mental diarrhea and vomiting resulted from ingesting their “spiritual provisions!” Yes, they do have some kind of “spirit” influence, but it appears not to be very “holy!”
Thanks for the chuckle!

Cemeteries; They're not Just for Burying, Anymore.
by prophecor ini live in a metropolitan area.
crime is on a rampage in this city, in fact, we're #1 in the country as far as murders per capita statistic go.
where does one go to find a safe outing for your morning jog, daily walk, or just to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life?

Not just for burying? Yea, but everyone is dying to get there!

I must say Goodbye for now
by KW13 inthis may not be a forever goodbye, but its certainly a goodbye to this stage of my life because i need to make real progress instead of just talking about it.
i may post the odd post on a rare occasion, but its not part of my plan really.. i posted a topic called the truth, which was originally going to be my farewell to this forum.
i think with my current situation, having a son and having a family that requires my attention it would be wise for me to move on in some shape or form, because i dont want the negativity of the watchtower society to rub off on my son and give him any of the grief and worries i had when i was growing up.

I wish you the best! Yes, we all need to move on until we are no longer captives to the WT! Take care!

by hubert inin "observadors" thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/141584/1.ashx a poster named "on the way out" mentioned being baptised at a ymca pool.
(thanks for the thought, "otwo").. has anyone else had this experience?
is there a way to find any documentation on this?

You bet! I was baptised in a rented YMCA pool. Like the UN, it's okay if they do something with it, but not us!

NEED HELP finding info on disassociating those who aren't active.....
by Lady Liberty indear friends,.
i need help finding when, how and where i might find that announcement..publication...where the new procedure was not to announce ones as being dfed..but now they were to be annnounced as "no longer one of jehovahs witnesses".
with that change, it made it so that those who were not active could technically be announced.

You’re right on the money! If you’re trying to the fade-thing, then be careful about the trick questions coming from elders. Like I said, they’ve been instructed to determine if someone wants to remain a JW. And told to ask specific questions to rid their cult of malcontents! Anyway, if you have family and friends in it, be aware the trap!

Cognizant dissident,
No, there were no instructions for those not answering the question. However, it would be best to not answer the question(s), or rather, answer it in terms of, “why do you ask?” You can also say, “If you are asking if I consider myself a ‘Christian’ then yes!” Of course, this is not really the answer they are expecting, but a way to work around the system! It’s “theocratic warfare,” but only if you have family and friends in that you worried about loosing them!
It is sad to report that there are a number of friends I have that have answered “no” to the question, in complete innocence of course, and have summarily been DF’d! Therefore, if you want to do the “fade” thing, then say nothing, do nothing, and definitely admit to nothing!
