Blondie-
I don't think they would even let him into the front door without calling 911!
elder resignation and withdrawal!
today i added a new article to my blog showing the result of watchtowers means and methods on the ranks of good folks within the community of jehovahs witnesses.
this article contains a set of letters that are self-explanatory.

Yep, this was said to me and that he considers me a "disassociated" person, because I no longer want to go to meetings. If this is a new directive, I can't help but think that it's going to backfire on them. For now, I've given up caring and will no longer seek to have anything to do with these theocratic monsters.
are there any jws on this site???
i think i may be in the wrong place.... why am i only seeing atheists and other denominations of christians?.
WELCOME! and please visit often! There's a lot of nice people here!

Hey Blondie,
This WT was designed (in MHO) to DF or DA all those who left, but who were not officially DF’d or DA’d. Do you see that too?
A long-time “friend” of mine, a previous missionary, CO, DO, Branch Overseer, blah, blah, blah, (and slave beater!), said I DA’d myself by saying that I could no longer wanted to go to meetings! This was recently, after 8+ years of him not treating me this way (he's in his late 70s). Not only did he drink the Kool-Aid, but he bathed in it! Swam in it! (Evidently, he did some back-flips off the high-board after reading this crap, and immersed himself in this poison-the wife too!) So, yeah, these little demons in Brooklyn-the mini-popes, are responsible for this latest delivery of poison, but there’s accountability to go around. People CHOICE WHAT THEY WANT TO DO!
I left because I chose to no longer listen or follow the demonic teachings and influence of the hypocrites in Brooklyn! Everyone can choose too, if they want to! If they REALY want to! Agree? This includes family too! There's no excuse! This reaction from a "close friend" tells me who my real friends are, who my real family is. It also speaks to their claim to be God’s representatives! (I can’t even repeat all the self-edifying expressions they've made in recent years-I just want to gag thinking about it!) The more they spew out this piousness hatred, the more I recognize they have NOTHING to do with God, Christ or the Bible (or anything good, righteous, or just)! But then again, they started-off as a demonic-cult, looking to the Great Pyramid as their prophetic instrument to salvation, a calculator to determine when Christ (actually a demon-God as I see it) would return and make them “special!” Good grief-what the hell did I get myself into when I was a young boy and joined this cult!
Thanks again for your coverage, but this was very difficult for me to deal with. (Maybe this is my fault for still trying to hang-on!) But it's hard, even at my age (and I'm around your age, Blondie)!
Warmest!

just would like to have a place for those who went today to post their experience and the reception of the 7/15 study article on apostates..
Serenitynow! You folks take the prize! Too funny! I love it! I'm rolling on the carpet! I wish I could do what you do! I don't even know what to say! Is this for real? Wow! OMG!
dad was a great man, great, despite the religion.
he was powerful, tall and intelligent, yet humble and kind.
he was an introvert, and a circuit overseer.
So sorry for your loss Paul! Maybe it's a chance to have some limited association with your mum. She probably would like to see your kid(s) and you of course, despite the shunning policy. There are some really wonderful people in the WT, and I view it through the eyes of the illustration Jesus gave about the "dragnet." There are some good "catches" and some really bad ones, but the "dragnet" encompasses all "Christian" groups, including the WT. Your dad was one of the "good" catches it seems from your description. I wish you and your family the best through this trying time.
With kindly regards,

does the watchtower give or create community, and take or steal faith and salvation?.
Yes, they are! You "give" and they "take!"
with many of us here on jwn in a fading state trying to stay halfway connected to jw relatives - i thought it would be informative and helpful to know what the wt society is telling jehovah's witnesses about who or who should not be their close friends.
so if you experience even more shunning than normal - this article may be influencing some jw's to do this.
you won't find any new information here- but the wt society is definitely trying to control who witnesses hang out with.. in the article " is your recreation beneficial " ?
Thanks, Flipper, for alerting us of the latest poison from the witchtower. Of course they have to emphasize this to control, control, and control! What else can they do? They're loosing members left and right! So they try to make you feel guilty for associating with family or “friends” that are not “meeting all the specific requirements!” (What the heck does that mean?)
Was Jesus “friendly” with most, but "only" associated with “true” friends who “met all the requirements?” Oh please! So he ate with the “sinners,” which included tax collectors and other undesirables of his day (including prostitutes), and what are we to conclude about this? He would be the very one that no JW could ever associate with, if he were alive today on earth!
These jerks in Brooklyn are beyond reform and redemption. If there is a future judgment, the way I see it, they’re standing in the front of the line, right behind the pedophile priests of the Catholic Church!

according the wt, how many comings or returns of christ are there?
and the follow-up question is: how many comings of christ are actually indicated in the scriptures?
(yes, we can debate for days, needlessly, concerning the 1914-calculus, but the truth is so much simpler than this!
SD-7 : Good scripture! So simple, even a small child can understand!

According the WT, how many “comings” or “returns” of Christ are there? And the follow-up question is: How many “comings” of Christ are actually indicated in the Scriptures? (Yes, we can debate for days, needlessly, concerning the 1914-calculus, but the “truth” is so much simpler than this! It really is!)
If you’re struggling to reason with your family members about your issues with the WT, I believe the most important question to raise is: how many “returns” does Christ have according to the WT? And then, the same question, but according to the Scriptures? The Biblical expression of Jesus is: “it will come at a time you think it not to be,” with the WT’s explanation that they’ve calculated his "return" or "coming" in 1914, but the “time” “we don’t know” is his final “coming” in judgment, another “coming!” (Good grief!)
So, what don’t we know “the day and how of?” An email, sent to me from a “sister” many years ago, quoted a GB member, saying: “Christ “comes” many times! Up to 7 times!” “He ‘comes’ and ‘comes’ and ‘comes’ again, up to 7 times!” (Really?)
Needless to say, if we get our families and friends to think about the WT’s position, and what the Bible really, really, really, really teaches, we might be able to help them make a happy exit out of the insanity!
What's your opinion? Is this a good reasoning-point?
