Very Depressed today... Please Help.

last night, my ex-girlfriend whom i wrote about before emailed me and goaded me into a confrontation.

Glad to hear you're dealing with this my friend, although I know from experience, it can be very hard at times. It?s like trying to heal from a severe burn! Yea, sympathy from others helps, but you still have that hurt that just doesn?t seem to go away!

However, if you do have very strong feelings of depression, then it's okay to see a doctor and I would strongly advocate it! Especially for current or x-JW?s! JW-ism has the potential to produce folks with severe, potentially extreme depression! And therefore, I highly recommend anyone with severe depression to seek medical help! I?ve lost too many JW?s who ended-it!

Please be aware that it?s not necessarily you, and probably isn?t you, given a ?normal? life-style. However, JW-ism can and has produced people with very severe depression. I find that I even have bouts of depression, which are very difficult to deal with. I?m sure there are tons of others here on this board, that will admit this too, if asked!

I wake in the middle of the night often, and all my problems with JW-ism come to mind. I sometimes find myself talking to myself; I wonder what I could have done differently! Well, the head-damage is there and can cause severe depression due to the injuries caused by being exposed to doctrinal ?radiation!? So, if you have severe depression, having been exposed to doctrinal ?radiation,? you?re not alone my friend! Many here on the board are struggling to get their ?head? back together again!

I?m also glad you got a ?head-of-hair,? that?s probably sympathetic to your problems! Doing the ?family thing? can help in getting your life back on track?wife-kids!

Please take care, and don?t feel you?ve done something naughty (as the WT would have you believe). When you?re ready for Christianity (outside JW-ism), it?s there; if you want to abstain, I can support that decision too! Many x-JW?s have to just get away from the manure! The saying is true: ?time heals all wounds!?

Christopher Reeves Dies...

i was just watching some television show and they were advertising a movie directed by christopher reeves about a young girl that was paralyzed, and overcame many obstacles.

i thought that was just awesome that he had directed a movie.

then i got a mail on cnn breaking news that he had died... how very very awful.... <sob>`superman' star christopher reeve dies .

This was very sad news for me to hear! I loved all his movies, and I'm sure there is a tremdous loss with his family at this time! He still has young kids that will finish their teen years without a father! Our prayers should go out to his wife and kids! Just my 2-cents!

Anyway, I know what you mean! The Craptower tells JW's to treat all those who do not accept JW-ism, like DF'd persons! However, I'm glad to hear you're getting back with your "real" family! Sorry to hear of any suffering you've had while submitting yourself to the WT-bullies! Best wishes! Love your parents and stick with your natural family as best you can! It sounds like you're on the road to recovery!

What's the real reason behing these MAN presses?

anyone know why the society spent $50,000,000 of world wide work money to buy even bigger and better presses?

i asked an elder, and he said, first of all to cut down on manpower, secondly there's more demand.

is there really more demand?

Bethel labor is NOT FREE! It cost about $8K - $10K (US $?s) to house someone in Brooklyn Bethel! The new presses do cut labor down, but I?m afraid that only about 2-3% of all the Bethel labor is currently devoted to the printing operations! This is a real problem for the Watchtower bullies, because increase in numbers at their branch offices is equated is with ?God?s Blessings!? So they have to show increases, regardless of technologies that actually decrease labor needs!

Anyway, new presses do decrease labor a little bit, but I doubt they?re doing it to increase the quality of printing, but are only doing it to squeeze out more profit! You have to figure that it only costs about $.004 per magazine, and books cost about $.08 / book to manufacture! So, if they get a donation of $1-$2, that?s quite a markup, right? Anyway, most decisions are based on money! ?Follow the money? (a common expression) if you want to find out why corrupt institutions do what they do! This is just my 2-cents, but I?m an x-Bethelite, with x-connections with the top brass and have had an inside view of things!

The Will JW kids/students be the next big threat to the Watchtower Society?

the internet has only been around for 10 years, yet it has profoundly changed the way we live, work and entertain ourselves.

particularly for children, they have readily adapted to this technology so much so, that teachers and educators are finding that their traditional based curriculums are leaving kids bored.

these are the kids who are used to surfing, instant messenging and downloading digital music.

To me, the Internet is one of the largest threats to the Watchtower bullies! They let the ?cat out of the bag? some years ago, however, by allowing college as a choice, but now are going back to the hard-liner position, that all college is EVIL, and that the only acceptable course is ?pioneering!? I hope advances in technology, like the Internet, will enable JW-kids to be set-free from ALL false religion, including JW-ism!
