I got a job!

woohoo!.

i got binned from my consultancy contract just over two weeks ago after falling out with a colleague and have been stressed right out because there is nothing around in perth at the moment in the it field that i was working in.

today i got offered a permanent role as a business analyst for a small it firm in perth!.

jim howard was a psychiatrist who became a jw.

he was from a congregation near mine here in vermont, and i knew him long before he was invited to become the physician at bethel.

he had a lovely wife and a terrific young teenaged daughter at the time.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but you mentioned it was previously a DF offense to attend AA meetings? do you recall any WT resources/literature regarding that? I'd love to show that to some jw family members at the appropriate time.

The JW religion is a snare and a racket.
Yep, we should find some of the old signs/billboards that the bible students wore on the streets that stated religion is a snare and a racket. Then proceed to 'wear' those
same billboards at the next KH meeting. I wouldn't be surprised if my older family members still have some of those signs, as many of those same relatives were involved
in wearing them on the street corners.

I was a JW and I'm sure my family still considers me to be one. I'm what you call a 'fader' I live 2000 miles away from my 100 or more JW relatives thereby allowing me to fade away.
I'm not worried about any type of damnation. I'm happy to be away from this controlling JW atmosphere which considers peddling magazines to be the only 'good' you can do in your life
and that all other charitable works and actions are that of the devil. I'm now able to live a somewhat normal life and be more productive away from the J-dubs.

Raised in the Catholic church the subject of JW was strictly avoided as demonic, although we were introduced to the religious beliefs of churches I mentioned earleir.
I find that interesting. Very similiar to the JW's view of discussing other religions. JW's view all other religions as that of the devil.

how are you finding it in Haiti, the competition with pestilence, plague and voodoo I mean?
Haiti is alright, however my next stop is Iceland. I should be there in a few minutes as soon as this forum updates my profile.
Iceland is a bit cold, however upon my last visit I found the women are hot!
