For all you PETROL & GAS whiners. Stop complaining that it's too expensive!

here in the uk we're paying over a 1 a litre for regular unleaded fuel, that's about $9 per gallon for my american friends.

now i'm as aware as anyone that the bulk of my fuel pound goes to the government in duty (or fuel tax) but let's just look at the bottom line cost to you and i as motorists - 1/litre.. just getting the the damn stuff out of the ground is dangerous and expensive, especially at offshore rigs.

then you have to transport it, refine it and transport it again.

There is not one car sold in America that gets 35mpg in the city. Not one. What car are you talking about? My car gets one of the best milages: 24 city 34 highway.

Prius does above 40 in the city. Honda Civic Hybrid does around 40. Any Volkswagen cars with a diesel engine will exceed 35. Keep in mind I gave low estimates for the mileage on the above listed vehicles. I have driven many miles on a prius getting close to 50 real MPGs. Some motorcycles will easily exceed 50 mpg. There are other efficient vehicles out there. You just have to look.

The consumer doesn't want to see a car that runs on 1/5 of the cost that we're presently paying.

The vast majority of consumers have chosen gas guzzling rigs over the available economical vehicles that are on the market.(speaking in terms of the North American automotive market)

If the majority of consumers are now wanting to purchase fuel efficient vehicles, then the market will adjust for that. As far as I'm concerned I hope that the cost of gasoline goes up to 5 dollars per gallon or higher. Only then will the consumer actually make a choice to drive something more efficient. Money is most definitely the motivator of people involved in the automotive industry and the oil industry.(or any business) Don't forget, it is also the main motivator of the consumer. When the consumer has to dig deeper into their pockets, then maybe they'll stop being so wasteful and by making better chioces will create a market for efficient vehicles.

BTW, which hybrid or electric vehicle do you own?

My Letter to The Editor was Published.....

again it ran in the sunday edition - i hope that a few people might be 'forewarned' and thus 'forearmed' against the jw religion.

perhaps a jw or two will read it also- here was the letter:.

to the editor; on october 25 the british press was awash with the story of young emma gough from tellford, uk.

Just informed the sisters at my door.

well it's a beauutiful day and it got better in the last hour .. two sisters and a daughter came to our door witnessing and after what i told them i think they are very thankful.. they first spoke to my wife and she told them why she is da'd over the societys stand on them protecting pedophiles ,but she had to go shopping and left me with it.. we had a meaningful discussion and i was able to enlighten them on the facts of the society and the recent cases settled in court in america ,and of course they did'nt know about it .

it came out that they both had observed the society hiding things and especially the pedophiles in the congos.. well then i explained that at least one is in their congregation and one sister said she knew of the same one because an elder had told her to watch out for him because he was seen touching and loitering around one of her children .

well i said that's pretty terrible that a pedophile has to touch your child before an elder will warn you of the pedophile 's history.. then the other sister who is a newly baptised witness asked the other sister why she had'nt warned her too.

ive been reading some terrible reports about the american mortgage market, and the subprime mortgages aimed at people with poor credit ratings and poor ability to pay.

(and of course poor ability to understand complicated and deliberately obscure contracts).. frankly the whole thing is exploitation in the extreme, imo.

there was one report on the bbc about how poor black areas were targetted, and people were given an introductory offer of 1% and not told that this offer lasted only one month before ballooning to 17 or 18%.

If you signed on the dotted line without calculating for yourself if you could actually afford the house, then I don't feel one bit sorry for you when you find yourself living in your car that will also be repossessed as you really couldn't afford that either.

Outsourcing jobs from the U.S.....how cheap can it be?

i just had to order a very expensive camera from circuit city for my husband's business and they asked that i call a 1 800 number to confirm the order.. i spent 30 minutes on the phone with a girl i could hardly hear....2 other orders seemed to be happening over the same line.

out of frustration i asked, "is this india?

" she said no, manilla!!!!!.

How much cheaper can these people be? After 30 minutes to a foriegn country does it really pay off?

Average filipino worker earns about 8000 pesos per month. I believe the average filipino in a call center earns about 14,000 pesos per month. That's equal to about 325 US dollars.

The savings is substantial, however to be fair, many of the technical call center positions are coming back to the US. They are now putting some of these call centers in rural towns where the cost of living and cost of employees is cheaper, yet you get an employee that has better english and hopefully better training from the company.

seriously, if your at home in your closet deciding which outfit you're gonna wear to work, school or out to play, and thinking how you'll look more attractive in this or that....do you not know that guys are gonna stare at you?

but you see these females on occasion that will get all in an uproar when some guy is staring at them....but hello...didn't you choose with pin-point accuracy, the exact top that's gonna reveal your cleavage at it's fullest?????

Yesterday I wore a sexy, low cut top. I looked in the mirror and just admired myself. I even took a pic of myself! I just know this outfit is going to impress my guy friends.

Later that day I was so offended at all the oogling and staring from the women. I could feel them undressing me with their eyes. I was so uncomfortable. What did I do to deserve this?

Why can't women look past my beautiful, sexy body and respect my intelligent mind! Damn it! I only want respect. Look into my eyes, not my beautiful boobies!
