(of course, the biggest scam was selling magazines....LOL)
Good point.

i would like to know if any of you have had any permanent hair removal experience?
i hate shaving, the only reason why i like to shave is i like to look good!
i am not sure if i want laser or electrolysis.
Both have their pros and cons and in reality it depends on the individual's skin type, hair color and other factors to determine which is best.
Laser is good for dark hair and lighter skin. if you're trying to remove light colored hair, laser may not be able to handle it.
If your skin is really dark, then the laser will also have problems.
Electrolysis is a more time consuming and expensive process. Infections can occur as well.
It's best to consult a professional and see what they recommend. 2nd opinions are always a good idea too.
If you choose laser, find someone that has lots of experience,, you'd be surprised at how many facilities have personnel that are very, very inexperienced with the laser and
cause major burns on their patients.
Someone here mentioned motor oil. I thought that was just something unique to small town midwest congregation I attended years ago. I guess it must be quite common.
Ofcourse the MLM schemes(i.e. pyramid scheme) was a real problem for quite some time. I believe the biggest instigator of the MLM in my old congo was an elder.
You'd be shocked at how many people signed up thinking they were going to get rich! Later, I remember the new C.O.(sherriff) arriving in town and he ripped and screamed at
the elders about the MLM stating he didn't want something so foolish to take 'the organization' down. After that, the MLM thing kinda died down, but in reality I think it continued
though very few talked about their involvement.
i have a question and need to vent... so one of my favorite things about not being a jw is that if i feel strongly about a particular cause, i can volunteer to help out.
thus far, my volunteering has centered around literacy.
this weekend is the arkansas literary festival.
can't add much here,, but I have to agree,, if you aren't charging for your services, than neither should they.
i'm growing tired of the phone calls from witness relatives proclaiming how wonderful it was that we had 203 in attendance, or 180, or 265, or whatever the number happens to be.
for whomever is calling.
someone from my old, old congregation informed me they had 203 and this person was just giddy about it.
I can't wait to try that carla. Hopefully I can keep from snickering.
between 2.90 and 3.50. Just depends on which Southern California county you are in, and more specifically which city.

I don't like hearing about the baptists, mormons, adventists, catholics, either.
i have certain things that make me say ahhh - here my moments:.
between my hair (which is very long) and my cat's hair (which is long) and a messy boyfriend, my condo gets out of control dirty.
there are times when i have to tear it apart to clean it because it feels yucky.
My ahh moments usually come from a nice fullfilling day at work. Today was one of those days, until one of my self righteous, holier than thou, (I'm more spiritual then you) relative called.
Next time I'm not answering.
i remember very few of the details, of when, where and exactly what took place, however a few years ago i was told the story about three elders that were walking together and the middle.
elder was struck and killed by lightning.
the other two elders went to his house to help out his wife and discovered 'apostate' material in their home.
OMG!! I heard about the pitchfork farmer legend too! I didn't believe that one either. If I were a cow, I would have eaten the magazine.. cows eat just about everything right?

have 300 at this very same congregation?
Sorry for the rant,, there's more I'd like to discuss but I don't want to give too many details as I'm a fader.
